"Thank you for accepting this invitation Elizabeth, this means a lot to us." mahinhing sambit ni Mrs. Cueves.

"It's an honor din po. And thank you for accepting Neytiri as your granddaughter." napatingin ako kay Kai na kalong kalong ang anak. I smiled.

Ibinuga ni Mr. Cueves ang usok mula sa sigarilyo. "Well, she's Zaccarius' daughter. She's part of our family."

"Yes, and we understand what happened. Don't worry Elizabeth, you are part of our family too."

Namula ang aking pisngi. "Hala, hindi po. Okay lang-"

"I heard Zaccarius's courting you?" she smiled.

"Mom-" pigil ni Kai.

"Uhm-"

"I do hope you're not considering having a relationship with my son just because you have a daughter together. Same goes with you Zaccarius." Mr. Cueves remarked.

"Hon, I know it's not-"

"I'm just saying." ibinaba niya ang sigarilyo. "If you two pushed your relationship just because of Neytiri, then it's gonna cause more trouble. Think first before deciding to elope."

"I-"

"Don't worry dad, I love Roshan. And she said she liked me too. We're taking things slowly but surely." Kai butted in, which made me blushed more. He held my hand.

"I can testify." sabay taas ni Sebastian ng kamay. "Kuya loved Ate not because of Neytiri but because she loved her." he giggled.

"Aba't saan mo natututuhan iyan, iho?" nakangiting saad ni Mrs. Cueves.

"Kuya, of course. He's a lover boy." he teased.

Sebastian grew up too, kahit ilang taon pa lang ang lumipas ay halata ang pagbabago sa tangkad niya. He is still cute tho.

"That's good Zaccarius, if you two loved each other, then you can give Neytiri a complete family. That's good." Mr. Cueves said.

"Thank you po." mahina kong tugon.

We're having a dinner with the Cueves Family, hindi na dapat ako sasama dahil hindi naman ako Cueves pero inaasahan na raw ako ng kanyang ina. Hindi naman ako makatanggi. Abuelo's not here, nasa Spain daw at nagpapagamot. He's getting old and sick, but Kai said his abuelo was happy because he already met Neytiri.

"When will she be a Cueves?" tanong ng ama ni Kai habang nakatingin sa apo.

"Hindi naman kami nagmamadali Dad. It's a long and stressful process. My priority now is bonding with my child." sagot ni Kai.

"Hmm." he drank his wine. "Just be sure she'll bear my surname."

"Zaccarius is right, Hon. It will take time. Matagal at mahaba ang proseso niyan. We just need to wait." nakangiting saad ni Mrs. Cueves.

Kai's father is still very intimidating. He's rough and cocky. Almost scary but not quite. On the other hand, his wife is very angelic. Mahinhin lang at mahinahon kung gumalaw ang magsalita. Kai often told me that despite his father's stance, he loves his wife so much.

Come to think of it, I wonder if Mr. Cueves is as clingy and corny as his son. Hmm? Baka hindi. O baka oo.

Kai looked intimidating too, sometimes, pero siguro ay nakilala ko na siya ng tuluyan kaya't hindi na ako naapektuhan dito. If you don't know him, you'll probably think he's as rough and cocky as his father. Pero hindi, he's a child inside. Or only to me?

Maagang natapos ang dinner namin. Kai returned us at home, at ang loko ay tumatawad pang matulog dito.

"Umuwi ka na." saad ko habang pinapatulog ang anak.
