"NO, NO, NO, FUCK! GODDAMNIT NO!" ANDIE screamed through her radio as she just felt her engine just explode, "My engine's gone!"
"Stop the car, Andie. Stop the car. We'll have to retire..."
Tonio had regret fill his voice as he replied to her.
"Copy that..." She gritted her teeth together, clenching her jaw.
She was so frustrated and scared but she knew that her oncoming breakdown was going to get her nowhere. What was supposed to be a solid chance for a 1-2 weekend ended up as a DNF for her... an immense let-down as she aimed to bring the fight to Charles and Max, a would-have-been extension of her prowess from the last race. She drove off to the side of the track as she knew she had to retire the car now... but then, there it was; fire.
She could smell the hot fumes from underneath her helmet and to say she was horrified was an understatement.
"Andie, please get out of the car. Get out of the car immediately."
Her engineer had directed her, alarmed yet sternly. Tonio and the other team members, including Mattia and Laurie, saw what was happening through the screens in front of them and were suddenly very on-edge with their driver's safety.
"I will, I'm... I'm getting out now." She stammered as she hastily turned the car off and attempted to pull herself out of the cockpit but the car began rolling backwards, making it difficult for her to do so.
She began to panic with her heart pumping louder than ever before and a ringing in her ear suddenly deafened her. Drenching in her own cold and nervous sweat, she continued to struggle to get out of the car with the flames spreading like wildfire.
Meanwhile, Charles was heading for a straight when Xavi radioed in to let him know of his teammate's rather dire situation.
"Charles, Andie is out of the race. Please keep focused. Whatever you might see, just please keep focused. We need the points."
