" You and me both, Leclerc. "

Knock, knock, knock.

IT WAS CHARLES' FIRST TIME TO be standing where he was at that moment; fresh from a direct flight from Monte Carlo with absolutely nothing on him except his keys, phone, passport, and wallet in his pockets. It was an impulsive decision if you couldn't already tell.

He had no time to really think this through.

It was the middle of the night. He should be at home on his bed, fast asleep, getting the rest he deserves... but no. He was in Paris. Lost than he ever was before in that city, standing right outside Andie's apartment, hoping she'd come to answer it.

He was incredibly nervous but his determination impeded all ideas of running away now.

He's been wrestling with his thoughts these past few days, trying to come to peace with everything's that's happened recently. But in the end, knew he needed to fix things... well, at least among the things running amok, there was only one thing he knew he couldn't completely crash and burn.

Charles has endlessly blamed himself for allowing things to get this bad and for this long all because he couldn't contain his childish outburst of selfishness and narrow mindedness.

He saw that moment as probably his last chance to mend what's left of him and Andie.

And as he heard muffled footsteps near the other side of the door he was standing right in front of, he couldn't stop his mind from flashing moments of that day where all of this seemed to implode on him—the day where it all spiraled out of his control.
