IT'S BEEN EXACTLY A WEEK since Charles and Andie had that disastrous FaceTime call and ever since then as well, Andie has been ignoring all of Charles' calls. Just to give him a taste of his own medicine.

And it's been driving him crazy, just as it should.

If it's a fair fight Charles was looking for, then she'll give him hell. Spite was what got her through the days waiting for the next race and in those days of misguided motivation, she led her team pristinely. They were able to make back up plans to the back up plans of their back up plans. She oversaw the development of her car's upgrades herself and she made sure all her test drives brought back only the best results.

She was on a mission—a vendetta.

It was a battle she was fighting alone as no one except Charles and Andie knew about what happened that night. They figured it'd be in each other's best interests to keep it between themselves anyway. It would get too messy if they were to involve other people.

"Here's your room key, Mr. Leclerc. Enjoy your stay." The hotel hostess handed Charles a key as he just checked -in for the race this coming weekend.

Charles relayed his thanks with a small smile, "Thank you."

He got his card key from the counter and proceeded to head for the elevator with his luggage in tow. As he ascended to his floor alone, a pang of melancholy washed over him. He would usually be with Andie right now. They would wait for each other before ever going upstairs to their rooms because that was what they always did. No specific reason.

But today was a break in the pattern. Charles was heading up to his room by himself and he's never felt so unnerved.

She would usually ditch the room Red Bull had booked for her and spend the whole weekend in his room. But now, he didn't even know where she was. She still hasn't contacted him through any means whatsoever, let alone answered any of his attempts to call or message her either.

She was giving him the cold shoulder instead of being upfront with him and that was a tell-tale sign of how mad she was at him.

In his defense, he was equally upset with her... but at the same time, he missed her and he feared the worst.

If you would look at Charles' phone history, you would see that he's called her at least twice or thrice a day for the past week. He's also been trying to reach her through text but that obviously was useless.
