IF THERE WAS ONE THING in thiswholeprocessof waiting for their wedding that Charles and Andie hated; it was the actual wedding preparation. With a week until their big day, things were nothing short of hectic. Some days were even spent away from each other just so they could split the tasks and get things done on time... and they were already living together in Charles' apartment in Monaco.
But there was a clear distinction in how the two handled things.
The stress of having to work on last minute matters has been getting to Andie because she's always been so meticulous about these things. All the while, Charles was just going with the flow. Ignorance was bliss with him... but obviously not for long.
"Thanks again for driving me..." Andie frowned as she hurriedly unbuckled her seatbelt.
Charles yawned as he rested the side of his forehead against his fist, "Mon amour... relax."
"I can't. Our wedding photographer literally just cancelled on us a week before our wedding." Andie whined, completely unstrung, "I need to fix this—on top of all the other stuff I have to fix today too..."
She had a busy day ahead of her. Just thinking about it made her want to hide under a rock and just stay there. In addition to the final dress appointment she was going to right now, she had to make a lot of calls to book another wedding photographer. She also had to make more calls to confirm her salon appointment and her makeup artist. She also had to go over the guest book their wedding planner had given her so she knew who to expect on their big day. All that, and she had to find a way to make sure everything was done by today because if not, serious delays might happen.
"Andie, let the wedding planner handle this—"
"Leclerc, let me be." She groaned, "I'm not even asking you to do anything so just let me handle this."
He never understood why she was so keen on shouldering so many responsibilities when it came to their wedding... she was the bride. She shouldn't be so exhausted like this. Andie may have hated all the preparations because she was running around too much but Charles hated it because he didn't have much time to spend with her anymore. She was always so busy. He was starting to feel upset about it. Then he realized they haven't made love in a while too and it only made him feel much worse...
