CHARLES AND ANDIE WERE IN a meeting with Laurie at the hotel lounge, the day after their victory party. They were to fly off to their week-long break destinations tomorrow but before that: business. The PR kind.
"Okay, so... first off," Laurie flipped through the pages of the thick document in front of her, "Congratulations, you guys. You've been through so much this season and I'm happy things are still good. You make me feel like a proud, cool aunt."
"Cool aunt?" Charles snorted.
Andie nudged her teammate and glared at him, "Thank you, Laurie. We really appreciate it."
"Anyway, I'll make this little meeting quick." She clasped her hands and rested them over the pages she was holding earlier, "Let's talk about how we're gonna go forward with how we'll handle future promotions. To get straight to the point; do you want to milk what you can from being a couple?"
"What?—No!" The two chorused with horror, wondering why Laurie would even consider that as an option.
"Exactly. I called it." She contentedly smiled, silently basking in her unspoken victory, "Sorry for catching you off-guard. Mattia thought it was an opportunity to sell."
Andie was flustered and confused, "Laurie... did you just quote Max Verstappen?"
"I'm sorry about that too. The internet lingo has veryunfortunately seeped into my daily vocabulary..." She hissed and narrowed her eyes, staring into an invsible void, "Work hazards of being a PR head. You have to scour through all the news and social media to get a sense of what we're dealing with..."
It sounded like she's been recalling all the grueling late nights she's spent doing her job... she looked equal parts tired and repulsed.
"Alright, since that's out of the way." She continued more calmly, "What do you guys plan to do over the week?"
"Not so sure yet..." Andie contemplated, "I just want to catch up on sleep. Been feeling really tired lately."
"I'm with her on this one." Charles stretched out his arms as he yawned.
"But before that though, I actually plan on doing some errands first. Gotta do my groceries, schedule an appointment for a facial, buy some coolant for my car..." Andie listed down her to-do list for the following which included a variety of things.
