Back with another chapter. I'm literally starting this one right after I finished chapter 6....probably still gonna take a couple days to finish. 😅Going to be starting a training program here soon and it's going to tie my hands a bit but until then, I can at least try to get this story moving along a little bit more before I get bogged down with other priorities. Before I get started on this chapter, I just want to give a quick thank for getting this story past 600 views! I really had absolutely no confident in my writing abilities (and still kind of don't) but to see people actually enjoying my story is a huge confidence booster for me and I really thank you guys taking the time out of your lives to give the story a chance! Now I've kept you waiting long enough, let's get into it.

With Fuutarou

"Wait...Ichika...what do you mean you can't watch the fireworks with your sisters? What are you talking about? I heard that it was a big deal for you girls because of your mother?"

Ichika ended the kabedon and took a step back from him with her head down. "Look Fuutarou-kun...I know you're trying to help us and I really do appreciate it, but this is something I really have to do. An opportunity has presented itself for me and I cannot let this slip away."

Fuutarou was still confused. "But...what even is it that you do that's so important for you to miss the fireworks with your sisters?"

Ichika looked away from him in embarrassment. "I...well....I'm an...I mean...I want to be...'

"THERE YOU ARE!"

The two teens jumped at the sudden voice. The mustachioed man from early was standing at the end of the alley with a disgruntled and irritated look on his face. "I finally found you! Enough running away, Ichika! We are out of time! If you want to make the audition, we have to leave, NOW! I'm going to get the car and I expect you in the parking lot in 5 minutes!" He then turned away to leave.

Fuutarou's head quickly turned to Ichika, who looked away with a sad and embarrassed look on her face. "'Audition?' Wait...so your job...you're a...?"

Ichika looked at him with the fakest smile he had ever seen. "I mean...kind of... I've only had a few minor part here and there but this role could potentially be my big break into the acting world. That man you just saw, he's my manager. His name is Oda."

Fuutarou: "Ah...that makes sense. My first thought was that he might be some secret boyfriend you snuck to the festival without telling your sisters."

Ichika's eyes widened and she playfully smacked him on his shoulder and pouted. "Ah! W-What?? I would never...! What kind of girl do you take me for, Fuutarou-kun??"

Fuutarou smirked. "So you can tease, but can't be teased...interesting. "

Ichika stared at him with a slightly shocked expression. "Ara ara Fuutarou-kun~, it seemed Y/N-kun has rubbed off on you a bit after all. I gotta say, I like this side of you more than the bookworm side." She said with a wink, which caused Fuutarou's small burst of confidence to burn out instantly and left him with a small blush on his face.

Fuutarou: "S-shut up! Anyway, that guy was kind of a jerk when I tried finding you earlier..."

Ichika giggled. "Yeah...I apologize for that. I noticed you out of the corner of my eye when he pulled me away. I felt bad that I left you without an explanation so I managed to break free from him again and now here we are. And although he may seem like a big jerk, he has a heart of gold and has really gone out of his way to help me try to get my acting career started. I owe him a lot."

Fuutarou: "Oh...I didn't know that..."

Ichika: "If you really think about it, he's kind of like you in a way"
