Look up in the sky!

It's a bird!

It's a plane!

No...wait...It's a new chapter!

Now that a lot of things are set in stone, it's now time for stuff to really get moving.

Also just a heads up: due to the fact that a lot of things are going to be happening all at once, this chapter is probably going to do a great deal of jumping all over the place. So buckle up cuz it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Also, a sizable chunk of this chapter is going to be told in first person. I just figured it would be better to tell it that way.

And so with that being said, without further ado, let's get into this one.

Near the Forest Trails

On a trail not too far from the camp courtyard, two young adults were seen emerging from the forest, their tracksuits covered in various things of the sort, namely leaves, dirt and sweat. One of the two had a triumphant smile gracing his lips, while the other was being a given a piggyback ride by the 1st, a large bout of air filling her cheeks.

"You're nothing but a meanie buttface, you know that, Y/N?!" Yotsuba griped as Y/N carried her back to the campgrounds. "I thought it was the gentlemanly thing to do to let a girl win when you're in a competition!"

"Mmm...Yeah, no..." Y/N said with a chuckle. "I'm the kind of person who believes in gender equality, Yoba." He said. "Had I shown you any kind of restraint whatsoever, that would have implied that I didn't view you as a serious challenger and would have been disrespectful to you. So if anything, me dunking on you as I did was the gentlemanly thing to do."

Yotsuba clicked her tongue in annoyance at his dumb (but true) logic. "Tch...And they say chivalry is dead..." She muttered as she rested her head on Y/N's shoulder.

The young man looked over his shoulder at her with a sweatdrop. "Hmmm...Well if it's dead, then I suppose there isn't any use in me carrying you back to the campgrounds, is there?" He said with a smirk. "You wanna walk?" He asked as he made a motion as if he was going to set her down.

Yotsuba responded to this motion by clinging onto him as tight as she possibly could. "NO!" She exclaimed stubbornly. "You're carrying me all the way back as punishment for making me trip and hurt my ankle! And I needed that ankle to help Fuutarou-kun with the test of courage later! Now it's broken forever and they'll have to amputate it!" She whined.

Y/N sweatdropped at his best friend's whining and over-exaggeration. Yes, Yotsuba had tripped over a tree root while they were on their run (which had turned into a race). No, it was not Y/N's fault that Yotsuba had tried so hard to beat him that had she closed her eyes while she kicked on her afterburners, blinding her to the dangers on the ground.
