Muzan got his hands into the mystery flower called blue spider lily, which made him several times powerful and it also allows him to be able to walk under the sun for 24 hours. Quite a short amount of time but that is all the time he needs to slaughter all the annoying demon slayers.
However, to prevent that from happening the Kamaboko trio who are already at the highest rank of being a demon slayer and Nezuko, successfully killed the demon king for good in exchange for their life.
In the end, they won against evil.
As if being rewarded for their good deeds, they are given a chance to live again in a different world.
