Roddy POV

I woke up and seen Halle was not next to me, and I sat up a bit thanking God for another day.

Still in the Maldives, for two more days then we going back to Cali.

I then scrunched my eyebrows as I got out the bed, and I walked out the room, heading towards one of the balconies in this beach house because I heard the guitar, and I heard her singing.

"Blackberry molasses, one of the things that never change
You gotta keep pushing on, the sun don't rain all the time
There's gonna be some heartache and pain.." She sang.

I just stood there for a second and just watched, admiring her. And I know this song, got me through some shit in my past.

She had her eyes closed as she played the guitar a bit before she started singing again.

"Woke up Sunday morning
Got a little bad news today
They say my life ain't worth living
And time is slowly ticking away
Don't think that I'm goin crazy
Cause thoughts keep running through my head" She sang.

I walked over to her, sitting next to her and she smiled a little as she kept going, and I joined her.

"I know I gotta be strong
Gotta hold on
Sometimes I'd rather give up instead
Seems like I'm better off dead" We both sang.

"I love that you know these songs.." Halle said before she gave me a kiss.

"Hell yea, this that soulful shit, shit that bring you through pain" I said.

"Seriously.. Brought me through a lot" Halle said as she just looked down at her guitar.

"Who you telling" I said.

"So... Whats the plans for today sweet baby?" She asked me.

"I was thinking we can go scuba diving" I said and her eyes widened.

"Yep you on your own with that" She said, I laughed.

"Come on cuh, let's step out of our element" I said.

"Scuba diving is swimming with them crazy ass under water animals like whales and shit right?" She said.

"Mhm" I said.

"Yeah you on your own buddy." She said and we both laughed.

"You gone leave me by myself?" I asked.

"Ugh I guess not" Halle said and I laughed.

"Just be glad I love you for real" She said.

"I'm very glad my baby" I said giving her a kiss.

"Wanna finish singing this with me?" She asked tapping her guitar.

"I'm down shawty" I said and she smiled before she started playing it again, and she said "Start it off, I'll join"

I nodded my head before I started.

Kind of adlibing for a nigga.

"Aww my sweet baby" Halle said as we finished, before we kissed. "Always" I said back.
