Founders Day

Vicki's POV

This morning I headed to the founders day parade with Damon. We see Stefan and make our way over.

"Look at you, all retro." He says. I snicker.

"What are you doing here?" We start to walk towards the floats.

"Why wouldn't we be here Stef? It's a huge town event. Plus I promised Caroline that I would come."

"Yeah why wouldn't we? Plus Bonnie deactivated the Gilbert invention, we are all safe."

I stopped walking and looked up at him. "Did she though?"

"Yes, Vicki, she did. We were there." Stefan assured me.

I scoff. "Oh yeah I forgot that you were a witch too. Right, thanks."

I walk away and go find Caroline and Bonnie.

"Hey sexy ladies! How are we doing today?"

Caroline squeals when she hears me, turning around and speeding towards me, bringing me into a tight hug. Bonnie comes over and pulls me into one as well.

I look up and down at Caroline. "Very much a Scarlet outfit. Good job." She beams and nods in thanks.

"Do you want me to take pictures of you and Matty?" She hands me her camera.

I start taking pictures when I notice Matt's cast. "Switch sides Matt, we can see your cast."

Bonnie catches on. "Not era-appropriate." She agrees.

"Seriously?"

"Yes, seriously Matty. No move or I will make you."

He sighs and moves. Caroline giggles.

I take more pictures until we finally have enough.

Caroline moves away from Matt. "I want one with Bonnie and Vicki now."

Tyler walks up. "Here, I can take it."

Like clockwork, Matt rushes to leave. "I'll be on the float."

Tyler scoffs and looks at me. "I said I was sorry."

"Really Ty? You made out with my mom and then beat up Matt. Sorry doesn't cut it." I snatch the camera out of his hand and walk away with Caroline and Bonnie.

Now that they are finally getting the parade started, I can watch theirs and then get the hell out of dodge, just in case the device works.

I'm standing in the crowd with Bonnie. When Cares float passes, I whistle and cheer.

Once the parade is almost over I get the hell out of there and go home.

I spend the rest of the day just waiting at home until I get a text from Caroline.

From Caroline:
Can you come to pick me up? My mom already left so I'm stuck here. <3

"Fuck" I swear under my breath. I grab my keys and start to drive. Once I'm in a back parking lot I see another text.

From Caroline:
Never mind, Tyler is giving Matt and I a ride home.

Suddenly, I hear a high pitched noise and feel a sharp pain pierce though my skull.

"Ahhh fuck!" I calm my breathing and mumble a spell making it a light headache. I wait for it to pass and then leave my car.

I find the old Gilbert building and when I head to the back I see Elena and Bonnie outside.

"They're burning in there! Bonnie do something!"

"What the fuck are you screaming about?" I already know.

"Stefan and Damon are in there!" I could barely understand what she said, she's hysterical right now.

"Oh for fucks sake." I push through them, making sure to make eye contact with Bonnie on the way to the door. "I hope you're happy Bon."

I open the basement door and see the flames. I chant a spell that removed all of the fire from their path.

"Get the fuck out of there now!" I keep the spell up until I see them reach the top, Stefan weakly leaning onto Damon. Once they get out of the door, I stop the spell and let the fire engulf the others.

I look over to Bonnie, she looks guilty. Then I look at Damon and Stefan who are healing slowly.

I walk over to them and wack their heads. "Are you guys stupid?!"

"Apparently." Damon chokes out.

"Fuckin idiots." I mumble under my breath. "I fucking told you guys. Who is the one who knows the future, huh?"

"You knew it wasn't inactivated?" Elena asks.

"Did you not hear me on the phone? You said you trusted Bonnie to do it and you didn't want me to siphon the magic out of it. I warned you. It's all of your faults."

I leave to the Gilbert house, hoping to catch Katerina. Damon catches up to me and walks up to the porch with me.

"Elena" walks up to us. "What are you doing here?"

"Just wanted to make sure you were okay after tonight." Damon looks at me weird. "You go ahead Damon, I'll walk Elena in." I give him a look and he sighs, walking away.

I put my arm around your shoulder. Jenna opens the door. "Hey Vicki."

"Hey Jenna, mind if I stay over? We talked about it earlier."

"Yeah of course. Hey uh Elena, I'm headed over to go talk to the fire Marshall. See you later."

"Bye Jenna."

Katherine and I walk inside the house. "Hmm, already invited inside, huh?"

Her face turns into shock before anger. Before she can charge at me, I cast a spell to incapacitate her, leaving her paralyzed.

"Yeah yeah, I know who you are Katerina. You think I would be that nice to Elena? Whiny twat."

She raises her brow. "I'm going to remove the spell and you are not going to attack me." I stop it and she stays still.

She sighs. "How did you know?"

"I have visions, so I know most of the future. I knew you'd come. But don't worry Kitty Kat, I think we'll be fast friends. Now, I think John needs a little trim so I'm going to leave you to it." I wink at her and leave.

I head to the hospital, wanting to give Caroline my blood instead of Damon's. I find out the room number and head over after shooting Damon a text.

I walk in and sit onto the bed next to her. She is unconscious. I bite my wrist and bring it to her mouth, letting it trickle in. In a matter of seconds I feel her bite back, putting more blood in her system. Once she is conscious enough to understand what's happening, she pulls away and looks at me in fear.

"Hey Care, we need to talk."

End of season one! I wonder what will happen next season?

Also, sorry that I haven't updated for a bit. This past week has been very heartbreaking and emotional for everyone and I just needed a break. Sorry :(
