Looked through my wardrobe. It was mid-fall, so I needed something warm and cute.
I ended up with some jeans and a sweatshirt and paired it with some knee-high boots.
I'm done"
"Alrighty let's go."
"Go where?"
"A new carnival opened up, I haven't had a chance to go. Would you like to go with me?" He asked
I was really confused as to why he was being so nice. C'mon Brooke, it's a carnival!
"Are you asking me on a date?" I teased
He froze and just stared at me with a straight face. His face turned red.
"Do you want to go or not?" He said with a firm tone.
"Okay, I'll go!"
"You play too much" he sighed
I just nudged his shoulder.
I gasped.
"The lights are so pretty!" I squealed."I suppose they are," Cameron said, just staring at the lights.
"Well what are we waiting for!" I grabbed his hand and basically dragged him to the carnival entrance.
"Stop dragging me! You're so fast with such small legs"
I rolled my eyes.
"Next!" We heard the cashier say
"Tickets for two," Cameron said.
" $20 " the cashier said.
"We can split it," I said, patting down my pockets for any money.
I was ignored? I saw Cameron give the cashier a twenty dollar bill.
"I didn't have any money anyway"
I was looking around in awe because of all the beautiful colors and all the rides.
"Oh my gosh, Cameron, we must go on the Ferris wheel! " I said, pointing over to the Ferris wheel.
"I'm afraid of hei- Hey! Don't touch me!" He was cut off when I dragged him over to the Ferris wheel line.
~ 10 minutes later ~
Cameron and I were at the front of the line waiting to get on.
As soon as the ride stopped moving for the past riders to get off. I jumped in excitement.
"Next riders!"
I grabbed Cameron's hand, so he could follow me into a pod.
The ride started, and I was looking out the window.
"Cameron, look! We should go on that ride next!"
...
"Cameron? What's wrong?"
"I'm a-afraid of heights... " He looked down at his lap.
"Why did you tell me?!" I yelled.
He flinched...?
"I-I'm sorry, but why didn't you tell me?"
"I tried to..." He sniffles.
"Are you crying?"
"No!" He whimpered
His voice was quavering, and I felt horrible for forcing him into going on this ride.
I moved closer to him and grabbed his hand. He looked at me confused, and I saw tears falling down his face.
He's having a panic attack...
