The movie ended and Amelia, Cameron, and I started walking home. Amelia had to walk another way to get to her house. So Cameron and I walked together to our street.
The uncomfortable silence made me mad. We used to be able to have these fun and silly conversations and now I feel like I need to watch anything I say.
"Are you okay? " Cameron spoke up.
I look up at him confused, "Of course I am. Why'd you ask? "
"You're more quiet now. I thought you'd be more happy that I got a girlfriend" he said looking down at his feet.
"What are you talking about? I'm so happy to hear that you have a... Girlfriend"
"It doesn't sound like it" he said muttered.
I stopped walking and look up at him. "What?" I asked confused.
He turned around, "Ever since Amelia and I got together you've been really distant, Like you don't like her and I together" he said.
I spoke up, "Actually, the real question is are you happy you have a new girlfriend?" I put my finger on his chest.
"I- What are you talking about? Of course I'm happy" he said, avoiding eye contact.
He's lying.
"Then why'd you wipe her kiss off earlier? Why didn't you kiss her back?" I got closer to him.
"I just wasn't ready to kiss her yet" he says, fidgeting with his house keys.
"Let's just go home" I said
~ 3rd person POV~
It was an awkward tension now. Cameron stared down at his feet in guilt as he walked home with Brooklyn. He knew what he was doing was wrong. He was using a girl to get another girl jealous. That's breaking 2 hearts. He felt horrible deep down.
They both were silent for the rest of the walk to their houses. The silence was getting to them, both want this walk to be over as soon as possible.
"Here we are. I'll see you tomorrow, I guess." Cameron said awkwardly.
"Um yeah, see you.. " Brooklyn replied back.
Brooklyn walked from Cameron as he walked up to his house. Brooklyn made a stop at her house and made her way up her porch stairs.
She unlocked her door and walked in. She was greeted my her Father in the kitchen."Hey Brooke, where have you been?" Her father said.
"I went to the theatre with Cameron and Amelia."
"Oh, that's um, awkward."
"And awkward it was" Brooklyn sighed as she sat down at the kitchen table. Her father sat across from her. "Anything weird happen?" He father asked, folding his hands.
"I don't really know if I want to talk about it. Its that bad" Brooklyn told her father.
~ Time skip ~
~ Brooklyn's POV ~I'm in bed laying down. Watching the same series. My phone pings. Amelia texted me.
Amelia💝😔
Even though tonight was kind of a mess, I still had fun. We should hang out more <3Me
Heh, I would love to hang out again.Not. Tonight was a Disaster.
I would like to hang out again though, just not like how this turned out. Maybe we just shouldn't go to the theater agai- Who is that?
I heard someone running up the stairs like a madman. My door burst open.
"Brooklyn I'm a horrible person! I can't believe I'm doing this!" it was Cameron. And he was freaking out about something.
"Woah, whats going on? And why are you here so late? "
"So I thought about what you said earlier, and NO. I dont like Amelia!" He shouted.
He is really stressing about this, "Then why are you dating her?"
"Becau- No, I'm not telling you that" he said.
"Then why are you here? What am I physically supposed to do?" I defended.
"I want you to be by my side when I break up with her. Please Brooklyn" he pleaded as he sat on my bed.
I nodded my head. Cameron responds by hugging me tightly and thanking me repeatedly.
He got up off my bed and walked around my room as if he's never seen it before.
"What are you doing?" I asked him as he paced around my room.
"Thinking... " he responded.
"About what?" I questioned"I feel bad." He looked at me.
"You should" I remarked. "Your breaking up with a girl you dated for not even a month while saying you never loved her." I snickered. "You're not helping." Cameron rolled his eyes.
"Wait, so who do you like?"
