I laid back down on my bed and pulled out my phone.

Oh gosh. Is she actually going to reject me now?
I hesitantly opened the message and closed my eyes. I sighed, all I had to do was open my eyes to see my answer.

Oh wow! So I was in a relationship for the last 8 hours and didn't even know?

"Hey, Jay!" Imanni burst through my door, again.
"Why are you in my room?" I stared at her from over my phone.
"Because your new girlfriend is here, she wanted to see you so she walked home with me." Immani giggled.

"Hi, Jade!" Amelia appeared from behind Imanni.
She rushed towards me and planted a kiss on my cheek. "Oh my snickerdoodle, I need to tell Mom about this!" Imanni ran toward her room.
I chased her as I didn't want my mom to find out, not yet. But I think I was a bit too late.
"Jade has a what?! Let me see her." I heard her get off her bed and start walking toward my room.

My mom burst into my room before I could even get back in it. She walked in front of Amelia and gasped. "Oh my goodness, you are so beautiful," she cupped her cheeks.
I walked into the room, slightly confused. I thought she was mad.

"Because we just started dating?"
"Oh my- She's so precious. Thank you for giving me such a gorgeous daughter-in-law." My mother engulfed Amelia in a hug
