As November entered It turned cold, very, very cold. The mountains around the school became icy grey and the lake was like chilled steel. Every morning the ground was covered In frost. Hagrid could be seen from the upstairs windows, defrosting broomsticks on the quidditch pitch, bundled up in a long moleskin overcoat, rabbit fur gloves and enormous beaver on skin boots.

Quidditch season had begun. On Saturday, Harry would be playing his first match against slytherin, and I'm routing for him. Hardly anyone saw Harry play because Wood had decided that, as their new secret weapon, Harry should be kept, well, a secret. But the news that he was playing had leaked out somehow.

I had noticed that Harry was quite restless since the training had gotten harder and harder. And how professor Quirell acts strangely towards me. I swear out of the corner of my eye, I see him glaring at me, or everytime I passed the halls-- he would let out a squeak and walk the other direction from me. It was strange, I couldn't tell if it was out of fear or spite.

I, on the other hand, had a hard time keeping up with my classes. Mostly because I got temporarily banned from the library, story was:

I tried to reach a book from a high shelf but I couldn't. so I used my wand to get it but, again, my wand became uncontrollable and sent a book flying towards a fourth year passing by.
McGonagall had scolded me a lot after that, saying:

"You really need to control that wand of yours, Luphus."

After that incident I decided to use my wand when absolutely necessary.

And Hermione had become more relaxed on breaking rules-- when needed, of course.
And she was a lot nicer toward us since we rescued her from the mountain troll.

The day before Harry's quidditch match we stood in the freezing courtyard during break. Hermione conjured a blue flame that was carried around in a jam jar. We stood closely to the fire, desperately warming ourselves up.

I noticed Snape limping. We moved closer to block the fire; we were sure that we weren't allowed. Snape noticed us and limped over. He hadn't seen the fire but I could tell that he was looking for a way to get us in trouble.

"what's that you've got there, Potter?"
It was quidditch through the ages. Harry showed him.

"library books are not to be taken outside of school." Said Snape "Give it to me. Five points form Gryffindor."

I scoffed.
"I swear, He just made that us to get you in trouble."

"Wonder what's wrong with his leg."

"Dunno but I hope its hurting him."
Said Ron bitterly.

while Harry went down into the staff's room to get the book back. Me, Ron, and Hermione were in the Gryffindor common room. I was reading the book Hermione lent me about wand control. It was helpful. I definitely learned a few things but my wand was still as troublesome as ever.

"So, Y/N, How's the wand trouble?"
Ron said snickering.

"Sod off, Ronald."
I rolled my eyes and continued reading.

"Hey Y/n." Hermione called out. "Do you think Harry's gonna be fine going the alone?"

I looked up from my book and stared at her.
"Surely, what else could happen?"
I said, but at that moment someone came bursting into the room-- it was Harry. Sweaty and his breathing was rigid as if he rushed here.
