Chapter 39

Kevin walked into the bedroom with the breakfast Stefan prepared for Evan. Breakfast in bed had a nice ring to it the differences were this breakfast was not prepared by Kevin and Evan didn't like eating breakfast on bed.

But this morning was different. His mate was exhausted from the previous days events. With all the letter fiasco and talking with Celine and Devon was exhausting. Kevin himself was tired with and to see his pregnant mate sleeping peacefully after so much crying and shouting the other day. He didn't have the heart to wake him up.

Evan had probably sleepily searched for him after he woke up. As he cuddled Kevin's pillow propping himself on it.

Kevin couldn't help but smile. His mate looked adorable with his hair spread all over the pillow. And he wanted a life with this guy. With their children running around them. Was it so difficult to imagine that Evan was also capable of having a family. That his adorable mate was harmless, moreover he himself is vulnerable now, pregnant with their child. How could his Pack think otherwise. Kevin didn't let the smile slip from his face.

He Looked down at the tray in his hand. Toast and Mango juice. With a cut bowl of fruit salad and made his way over to the bed.

"Babe. It's time to get up." He said softly as he sat down beside his husband.

Evan ignored him as he turned to the other side making Kevin chuckle.

Kevin tries again by shaking his mate lightly. His effort only receives a tsk and Evan rolls himself into the Blanket.

"Evan, its time for your breakfast" Kevin half shouts amused.

"Go away. I'm sleeping." Evan says grumpily while rubbing his eyes with a yawn still under the covers.
Kevin laughed. It was cute.

"Come on Baby. I won't go to office today. And Devon and Celine will be coming. You need to eat before that. Get up please."

"I don't want to, No need to stay here go back to your office. And tell Celine and Devon too." Evan said turning his face towards Kevin and sent him a glare.

"That won't be the case Baby, we are spending the day together. And I know you secretly want that too. Was it not yesterday that you screamed at me saying that I am an evil workaholic who leaves him pregnant mate at home " Kevin said fondly the scene still vivid in his mide. How his cute mate had shouted at him yesterday and cried after he woke up. He couldn't blame his mate. Evan was stressed and he had received such a letter from the Ravagers. It was natural that he was frustrated and took it out by shouting at him. Devon and Celine were also not spared. Labeled at Evil Siblings who no longer love him.

Evan huffs and rolls with the covers making himself comfortable with all the pillows surrounding him.

"You don't want to eat now?." Kevin asks. Evan huffs again looking away. He sets the tray on the table beside the bed

And he crawled into bed with Evan. He removes the pillows and hugs his mate. And trails kisses in his neck. " Do you want something else?" Kevin whispers huskily in his ear.

"No! Kevin, get off!"He screamed out as he turned and pushed Kevin "What is it with you, Leave me be"

Kevin couldn't help but laugh. "Well you asked for it. Looking so adorable in my bed" and placed a kiss on his cheek.

Evan laughed, flushed hearing his mate's words. "Fine! You are such a tease Kevin. Now bring the damn food, I am hungry." Evan said as he pushed Kevin away and sitting up.

"Yeah, now you are hungry, can't a man have his morning kiss?."Kevin says smiling clearly amused than annoyed. Kevin removed the blankets and puts two pillows on the bed before Evan and places the tray on top of it.

Kevin watches his mate gobble up his the food.

Evan finishes up the toast and salad and reaches for the Juice. Kevin still staring at him

"Cut that out Kevin, don't watch me eat"

"I love you baby seriously you are so adorable, you look adorable while sleeping, eating, walking and even when you are angry " Kevin says as he watches his mate going red again.

Evan shuffles and shifts around on the bed trying to get up dislodging the tray on his lap and causing the tray to fall from the makeshift pillow table.

Kevin stares at the bed and the half spilled juice over it. Evan scowls. "That's why I am not a fan of breakfast in bed." He comments.

Kevin shakes his head as he picks up the tray along with the glass and bowl. He knows not to mention that it was Evan who spilled it. His sweet mate's mood swings were getting worst. And he didn't wanted his baby to loose his cool.

" What about the sheets?" Evan asks as Kevin settles in the bed beside him after placing the tray on the table. Careful not to sit on the juice stain. Call him lazy but changing the sheets were the last thing on his mind.

"Later." Kevin answered with a grin.

"Unhygienic Out, out, out, I will change them!" Evan said while smacking Kevin.

Kevin laughs and grabs his mate's hands. "A little juice won't do anything, It's not unhygienic, for your information I am just Lazy"

"Ants will make a temple for you and pray for your laziness. Now get up?" Kevin chuckles as he gets up. Evan following him.

Evan takes out new sheets and Kevin helps him with arranging the pillows and the blankets. The scene tugged at his heart. It felt so warm. Evan didn't wanted to think about the letter. Kevin was so sweet and careful with him. Evan had no doubts. His mate loved him. As for the Pack. He couldn't help but be worried. Kevin loved his pack. And it was really difficult for him to think about them betraying him.

It had already spread that Kevin had asked the culprits to come forward on their own accord. The threat had shook the entire Pack.

The Pack members were panicking. They were fearful of not only Kevin but also Devon and Celine. Those two had also threatened yesterday and Kevin chose to remain quiet as if he agreed with them

That caused a confusion among the members. And everyone was scared shit. Well that was according to Markian. And Evan was unconscious at that time.

" Are we going to talk about yesterday" Evan asked. Kevin looked at him and smiled. " No, it will be alright, I will take care of it. I am your mate, let me protect you. You don't need to worry. I won't fail" Kevin said as he pulled Evan to him and kissed his forehead and then his lips. Evan melted in his arms." You said my siblings are coming" Evan whispered as blush covered his cheeks. "Mmm...hmmm they are, but first let's get you cleaned up Mr Hygiene" Kevin said nuzzling him.

And just like that all his worries left him as Kevin took his hand and pulled him towards the bathroom. It will be alright as long as he is with Kevin. They will think of something to deal with The Ravagers. They won't loose. Evan smiled. Offcourse they won't.
