'HEIZOU WHAT ON TEYVAT DO I WEAR?' You shouted. Heizou just watched as you pulled every item of clothing from your wardrobe. 'Love, it's fine. You will look good anything-' 'THATS NOT THE POINT AND YOU KNOW IT.' You narrowed your eyes at him.
You were meeting with Ayaka today. Just a catch up. Ayaka had sent you a letter in advance and asked if you wanted to 're-kindle over a few cups of tea', whatever that means.
All you could think about was how intricate and eye catching Ayaka's outfits were.
You pulled out clothes upon clothes. You didn't even have that many items of clothing, but somehow it was as if they kept appearing.
You reached into the far right corner of your wardrobe and pulled out a ornate, blue, white and gold kimono.

It had been a while since you had worn anything like this. A few weeks ago, Heizou insisted on going shopping for clothes, hence, where you managed to get this from.
You held it up to yourself and smiled. It was perfect.
Despite Heizou's protests, you finally managed to push him out of the room as you changed. You had an hour to get to the Kamisato Estate. Time hated you.
You quickly tied up your hair and grabbed your sword, slotting it in the scabbard. 'I'll be fine Heizou. I love you. I'll see you in a few hours- Yes i promise.' Heizou kissed both your cheeks before pouting. You smiled and left the house, wondering what on Teyvat he would do without you.
He had friends, right?
The summer months were drawing in and the breeze grew humid. But, as they say, beauty is pain, even if that means perspiring 70 litres of sweat every second, so be it.
You checked your watch which hung from your waist and smiled as you headed towards the building. It was just as you had remembered. It truly was a spectacle, no matter how simple the design or layout may be.
'Ah! Miss Y/l/n, here to see Miss Kamisato?' A maid at the estate greeted you. Ayaka was famous for not letting the guards meet a close friend before hand, she insisted it was 'informal'.
You were practically buzzing with excitement. It had been so long, too long. Being a detective meant you were everywhere all at once, you never really had the chance to lay low, unless your subordinate happened to be placing bets on your relationship.
'Y/n! You're finally here!' Ayaka jumped to her feet and hugged you tightly. She felt like a younger sister, and you loved every second of it. 'I've been so excited Y/n! So, so excited! Please, sit down!' Her eyes glimmered, making you grin.
'So..tell me about Heizou then..' Ayaka questioned, pouring your second cup of tea. The two of you had asked the usual questions, 'how are you?', 'what have you been up to?'
You could tell she was waiting to ask this question, and you were quite excited to answer. He made your heart leap. Every second away from him made you frustrated. Whenever someone brought him up in conversation, you just couldn't wait to tell everyone every tiny detail.
If you were to make a list of all of your favourite things, he'd be in first place.
You loved every piece of him. Every detail. The way he held himself when talking, the way he looked around the room when thinking. The way he slotted perfectly into your life.
He was the missing puzzle piece you didn't know you needed.
'Ayaka, he's perfect. Sometimes i look at him and cant even imagine that he's mine. That hee right there next to me.' You smiled at hee expression. It was pride, joy, envy, all in one. 'It feels so surreal. Like someone is going to take a pin and pop my bubble any moment now.' Your leg bounced under the table. he made you so flustered just talking about him.
Ayaka asked about how the two of you met and you replied scenically. Your life had felt like a movie, from the start to the present. Like a book, a story, inching to be finished. You were so stable, so tranquil, it was either nothing could ever break the two of you apart, or something was just around the next corner.
But that can wait.
This chapter isn't finished yet.
Cups of tea had been filled, cups of tea had been emptied. You asked Ayaka about hee duties, how she and Ayato were really doing. You understood eachother to some extent. That's what made your friendship so beautiful.
Ayaka begged for you to be Chaperoned home. She didn't trust the Ronin who were becoming more and more noticeable to the common eye, but you reassured her everything would be just fine.
Ayaka walked you to the Estate entrance. Hee face lit up as you looked at her. Following her point of view, you saw a familiar red-head waiting for you at the entrance, talking to a guard. It was as if he saw you aswell, because his eyes lit up as the two of you met. You waved goodbye to Ayaka before smiling and asking Heizou why he was here. 'I missed you too much, plus...there's something we need to do.' He held both your hands before twirling you around. He was never this...secretive.
The two of you chatted before arriving at Inazuma city. 'Y/n..i completely forgot since we were like bombarded with work..' You laughed at his over exaggeration. 'It's the firework show in like two days!' He exclaimed and your face dropped before your smile turned upwards.
