January 3rd

It was three days since the new year started and Cole had been going to therapy for a few days but still trying to avoid going there even though he needs to.

He was at the diner eating lunch there while writing in a journal and listening to music with his headphones on his ears.

"Writing in that diary of yours?"

Cole rolled his eyes at the person and then took his headphones off.

"Please shut the fuck up and second of all this is a journal." Cole said.

"What are you writing in that journal anyway?" Gabriella asked before sitting down in a seat that across from Cole.

"Just some random thoughts but let me ask you something because I am really concerned." Cole said.

"What is it?" She questioned while taking some of Cole's fries.

"Would you rather  break up with someone on the phone or do it face to face?"

"I actually thought it would be a serious question and it is not but I would rather do it face to face."

"Oh okay."

"I thought you broke up with her?"

"I tried but then it just lead to another thing and knowing there would be rumors that we broke up because we haven't been seen together since November which I guess give me more time to think  on why I love keeping my dating life private." Cole said after taking a sip of his drink.

"If you didn't want your relationship to be publicized then why make it public?"

"I didn't and it was Maddie's idea for it to be a public thing."

"Do you really listen to everything that she said  or ask you about?"

"No I don't and besides if I wanted to make a relationship public then I would do it but there is a lot  consequences within it."

"Yeah I can relate to that."

"Really because I have never seen you with a guy  before in my life." Cole said before chuckling.

"Yes you have." Gabriella said.

"I don't really remember at all." Cole stated.

"You know the guy  with-"

"Oh yeah him."
Gabriella rolled her eyes at him when Cole cuts her off .

"I didn't even finish what I was saying."

"Yeah I know and  honestly you got bad  taste in men even though you dated like one but still."

"Say the guy who have horrible taste in girls so you shouldn't be talking Cole."

Cole chuckled. "Hey at least I have learned from my mistake."

"Have you though?"

He sighed knowing that he still never learned from his mistakes well some of them.

"No I haven't."

"Anyway what kind of thoughts are you writing in that dia-I am sorry journal."

Cole rolled his eyes knowing he is about to burn the journal soon.

"I just decided to write some stupid random thoughts in it incase I need a reminder for something."

"For what." She asked.

"Just some things at all." Cole said while shrugging his shoulders and then went back writing something in his journal.

"Do you remember when we were four  and we were   at the pig pen in the zoo then Justin-"

Cole laughed.

"Oh yeah he fell faced down on the mud after auntie keep telling him to stay away from the fence but he didn't listen so he fell on the mud."

"Yeah it was funny."

"Yeah it is really great to create a lot of memories in the past and in the future."

*********

Cole knocked on the door and  the door was heard opened.

A brunette or dirty blonde woman who looked like she could be his uncle Julio's age or two younger than him appeared at the front door.

"Hi."

"Hi um is my uncle here well I mean he lives here but you know what I mean." Cole said.

"Yeah he is and-"

Julio walked over to the front door and Cole smirked at him while Julio mentally rolled his eyes at him.

"Cole I didn't expect you to be here." Julio said.

"Yeah me too but I wanted to talk to you about something even though we should talk about you introducing me to your girlfriend." Cole said.

"Oh yeah this is Cindy my girlfriend and Cindy this is my nephew."
