Vance is taking a while to get back, he's either punching Robin, or having a decent conversation. Only time can tell.

I decide to go on a bike ride while I wait. My bike is stored in our very crowded garage, I push through and move different boxes, toolboxes, and other random junk to get to my bike.

I push it through the small path I made, and hop on, beginning to ride down my street. My mind starts to wander to what Vance and Robin are doing.

What if Finney was at Robins? What would Vance do? Maybe Vance and Finney would talk? Come to an understanding? Probably not. Vance is a hardass.

My thoughts are interrupted as someone else riding a bike approaches.

"Skye?" The voice questions. Bruce.

"Hey, Bruce" I reply, my voice slightly shaking.

"Are you okay? You seem upset" Bruce asks, a tone full of worry.

"Yeah. Just biking around" I lie.

"Skye, you seem off. Tell me what happened" Bruce prys.

"Why?" I ask. Why does he care so much?

"Because I'm your friend. And I care" He answers.

Friend. Ouch.

"Vance punched Finney Blake in the face" I say quickly.

"Seriously?" Bruce questions.

"Yep. And now him and Robin are fighting. It's what I woke up to this morning" I explain.

"When did he punch him?" Bruce asks, glancing over towards me.

"Yesterday I assume" I reply. "Vance is talking to Robin right now. That's why I went on a bike ride"

"Hm" He hums, looking forward and facing the pavement. I take the small moment to examine his side profile.

His nose is slightly arched but small, his jawline is very soft. The wind is pushing his neck length hair back slightly. God, is he a sight.

He notices me staring and turns to look at me. My face turns a crimson red and I look back to the road.

"So, do you have any destination?" Bruce asks curiously.

"Nope. You?" I question.

"I was gonna go down to the diner and get a milkshake. If you wanna come with?" He asks.

Why not?

"Yeah, sure" I agree, smiling at him.

Twice in two days. He has asked to go places with me twice. In two days.

We bike to the diner, walking through the glass doors. We sit at a corner booth, some-what closed off from other people in the diner.

"What would you two like?" A waitress asks us.

"Strawberry milkshake" Bruce says.

"Chocolate milkshake please" I answer.

"Is that all?" She questions.

"Yes" Me and Bruce answer in unision.

She walks away, leaving me and Bruce alone.

"Tell me more about this fight between Robin and Vance. I'm invested" Bruce says, placing his chin in the palm of his open hand.

"So, remember when Vance got arrested?" I ask, getting a nod in response. "Well, Finney held the door for the cops"

I almost wanna laugh. I mean, who holds the door open for cops?

Bruce laughs, quickly shutting up. "Sorry" He apologizes quickly.

"Its fine" I laugh. "Makes sense to why he hates Finney though. Anyways, Finney was in the Grab N Go yesterday, and Vance punched him"

"Damn" Bruce says. "Did Finney say shit or...?"

"Nope. Vance was just pissed that Finney came back to the Grab N Go" I answer. "Robin found out and was pissed. Hence why I woke up to them screaming at each other"

"That sounds terryfying. The two strongest kids in school fighting" Bruce remarks.

"I thought they were gonna beat each other up. That would've been a shit show" I say in agreement. "Anyways, I convinced Robin to leave so Vance could cool off. Now Vance is apologizing to Robin. I hope"

"What do you mean hope?" Bruce questions.

"I sure as hell hope their not fist fighting right now" I clarify.

"I'm happy I just have a little sister. She couldn't hurt a fly" Bruce says.

"Jealous" I laugh as the milkshakes come, we thank the waitress and begin drinking our milkshakes.

"Chocolate is so overrated" Bruce says, glancing at me.

"Says the one with a strawberry milkshake. Those are so gross" I say.

"Nooo. Strawberry is the best. Try it" He says, holding his glass up to me.

"I've tried it idiot" I laugh.

"Try it again" He demands playfully, shoving the cup closer.

I reluctantly take the straw in my mouth, and drink some of the shake. Its not as bad as I remember.

"Hm. Chocolate is still better" I reply, holding my glass out to him. He dosen't waste any time drinking my milkshake. He ends up drinking about a quarter of it before I take it away!

"Dude! You just drank half of my milkshake!" I laugh, looking at his smile. God hes pretty.

"I know" He smiles again.

"I hope Vance and Robin are okay now. I hate seeing them fight" I say.

"Well, if you want to go somewhere you can come to my house" Bruce offers. "I only live a block away. Its the green house on the corner"

"Oh! Yeah I know where that is" I smile at him as I finish my milkshake.

We get on our bikes and head home. As we arrive at my home, Bruce walks with me to the door.

Unexpectedly, he wraps his arms around me in a hug. He feels so warm, so comforting.

"Good luck with Bruce and Vance, kay?" He says into my shoulder.

"Thanks, Yamada" I say as he pulls away.

He looks at me in the eyes for a second. I swear theres a magnet that wants us to be close because before I knew it, Bruce was slowly leaning in.

He stopped himself, getting crimson red in the face.

"Um, bye Skye!" He says, biking off.

Jesus Christ I'm down bad.

I walk through my door to see Robin and Vance on my couch, watching Tv.

Looks like it went well. But now, What am I gonna do with Bruce Yamada?

He almost kissed me. Does he like me? I like him, right? He keeps asking me out to things. And the way he hugged me. It was so unexpected but I loved it in every way.

He might like me. My heart is beating so fast I can feel it in my chest.

Bruce Yamada might like me.
