the museum

❦→[the museum]

don't watch as it breathes, sitting on the chair
dangling hands
tangled, drawn out hair
inside one stands
the entire museum,
blurring vision, after effects of lithium

swear you heard apollo
plucking his harp,
pretending that this was supposed to be his part
when he still circles kronos

it bears a troubled past
impeccable, insensitive scars
sitting unadorned, basking light
birthing admirable fright

deluging vision for the visionary to write
sprint before it strikes swords tonight,
streaming sideways
through rose-gold alleyways
once you pick up the pace,
forget the face
