When you turn on the news I don't know what you really expecting to hear either than updates on what's happening in your country right? I mean when you turn on the news the last thing you expect to see is a headline saying "BESS private jet goes missing with passenger Mrs Amahle Bess and her In-laws David and Lillian Bess", to make matters worse I was sitting with my grandkids whom one of them is able to read and actually understand.

Daniel: I think it's time for you guys to go and take a bath

Ase: but we still watching the news grampa

Him: but you can watch the news later, news of people your age

Me: listen to your grampa honey

Him: look on the Brightside, you get to wash yourselves

That excited them because they ran up to wash, except for Iyana. She wasn't easy to fool, she knew what was going on but she decided to keep quiet and go upstairs

Me: why hasn't Damon called us or something?

Him: he probably just heard himself

Me: where's my phone I need to call him.

Just then my phone rang somewhere in the room, I don't know where it was and you can blame Melody for that, Danny and I searched until we found it and I answered it. It was Damon

//him: Mrs Hlathi

Me: Damon what's going on?

Him: I take it you've heard. The plane is missing and everyone I know is doing everything to find it

His voice was breaking. He was hurting and so was I. I couldn't lose my daughter, she's the only one I have, I've already lost my parents and I can't afford to lose her too. The Lord has taken too much from me already.

Me: please Damon

Him: we going to them. We don't even know where to start

Me: Damon I need you to be strong. I need you to be strong for me and the kids

He sounded as thou he was ready to cry and that was the last thing I needed because then I was going to cry. So he had to be strong and needed to believe that they were all fine wherever they were.

Him: I'm trying Ma but I can't help but think of the worst.

Me: no Damon don't. You not allowed to think like that. They are all fine. They are strong enough to survive anything

Him: I hope you right Mrs Hlathi. I really do. Have the kids gone to bed already?

Me: Daniel and I sent them to go wash because they were talking about the missing plane on the news. I think Iyana knows something is wrong

Him: may I speak to them please?

Me: ok I'll call you in a bit. Please be strong Damon, I need you to

Him: I'll try Ma//

With that I went upstairs to find the kids and I found the girls in the bath together in Amahle's room, they were playing and laughing. I wished they would stay like that and not be exposed to what's happening. It's bad enough that a plane is missing and we don't the state of their mother and grandparents.

Me: hey guys, your father just called

Iya: is everything ok?

Me: he just wants to talk to you guys. Finish up and we'll call him when you guys are finished ok?

Ase: yes Grammy

I left them washing and then went to find Melo and I found him washing in the public bathroom.
