#DAMON

I didn't sleep a wink hoping and praying someone could call me and tell me something solid. I've been pacing up and down for the past ours drinking scotch. I needed it to calm my nerves down. Damien left and went to his place to sleep, said he would come back tomorrow morning and he begged me not to do anything stupid as thou I would kill myself, my kids still need me. It didn't feel right to just sit and wait for something. As I was pacing up and down my phone rang, I took it.

//Me: Selene

Her: Bess. I think we getting somewhere

Me: what do you have?

Her: well we managed to locate the last time we had contact with them

Me: ok?

Her: we came to learn that they lost reception when they reached North Western California Eureka and the one place that has zero cell phone reception in that area is the Six Rivers National Forest.

Me: so what are you saying exactly?

Her: that we are sending people from New York to go and check the place out

Me: Selene I need you to organise me a chopper here in Cali, it's closer right

Her: good thinking sir. I'll get right onto it.

Me: thank you//

At least we were getting somewhere. I typed on my tab the distance from where I was to this forest and turns out its 6 hours by car and 3 by flight. I went to shower and changed into much more relaxed clothes, that being a jean and a t-shirt, now all I was waiting for was Selene's call to tell me she's gotten somewhere. As I was busy waiting there was a knock on my door and when I opened Damien showed up

Him: heard anything?

He said walking in

Me: there's a lead. Selene says her best bet is Six Rivers forest

Him: that's 6 hours away from here

Me: and 3 hours by chopper

Him: have you gotten a chopper yet?

Me: Selene is on to it

Selene is the head of King Shaka International airport in Durban and if there was ever anyone who could get me what I needed, it would be her. She was my senior back in high school and she had a crush on me of some sort, I was even her farewell date. The plane search is what got me her contact.

Him: ok great

Me: let's not get our hopes up just yet. A forest is big

Him: yeah and we will go through it all if need be

Me: we are not going anywhere. You not coming with me

Him: the hell I'm not. Those are my parents and my friend

Me: I understand that but I can't risk it. I don't want you seeing things you not supposed to see

Him: you not going to convince me otherwise Damon. I'm coming with you

Just then my phone rang.

//Me: Selene talk to me

Her: well Damon I just got off the phone with the head of SF Helicopters and they said you can go to their station, everything is being set up as we speak

Me: thank you so much Selene

Her: thank me by finding your family Bess

Me: I will//
