"Hey.. Liam?"

Sam enters his bedroom, closing the door behind him.

"Oh, hi babes, I was just about to go looking for you."

Liam smiles at the blonde, a towel in hand.

Being fresh out of the shower.

"Yeah.."

His voice trails off earning a confused glance from the other boy.

"Something wrong?"

Sam sighs shakily.

"Can we.. talk? like seriously, no arguments or anything?"

Liam furrows his brows.

He's confused.

He notices Sams change of mood from before he's stepped into the shower.

"Uh yeah.. of course."

He ultimately agrees despite being slightly scared of what's about to happen.

"About what?"

Sam sighs, walking over and sitting on the bed.

Liam takes a moment before sitting down as well.

"Okay.. this is really hard for me to say, but,"

he lets out a shaky breath, glancing at Liam.

His eyes are unreadable but there's a frown on his face.

"I think- I think we should break up" his voice breaks.

"What..?" Liam whispers.

He's at a loss.

He thought they were doing good, they've been so happy.

"Why?" he asks softly, voice cracking.

Sam shrugs slowly.

"It's because of Colby, isn't it?"

Liam can't help but blurt that out, why wouldn't it be because of him?

They're practically inseparable sure, Sam hasn't spoken to him since his little sneak out, but he could've sworn ever since then he's been acting off he just couldn't put his finger on as to why or how.

"Liam.."

Sams voice goes high as he holds back his tears.

"I'm sorry- I just- I don't understand Sam, why else would you want to break up?"

The blonde sighs.

"Because, Liam. Your so different, you've changed, you've changed into someone I can't continue being with, I've lost feelings for you Liam, I have. I don't know, what happened with you, what went on when you moved but whatever it was it made you act a way towards me I hate so much, and no matter how many times I talk it out with you it still happens"

Liam frowns, nodding his head.

It's quiet.

Too quiet.

"Okay.."

Liam speaks up quietly into the silent room.

"Okay?"

Sam asks.

He's confused and a bit hurt at the blunt answer.

Does he not care?

"If you tell me- tell me the absolute truth about you and Colby-" he begins.

"Liam! why- why do you always bring him up?"
