My door squeezed slightly under my touch when I opened it carefully, and let me just get right into it, I didn't even need to use a key to get in, meaning the stranger somehow had broken in, or got into my apartment another way.

I don't know how the fuck he did this, but there's still only one way to find out.

And I don't know why my heart rate suddenly sped up, I mostly don't have this fear of getting tackled or murdered by an unknown person, knowing I can handle all kinds of motherfuckers whom want to mess with me.

But to someone who just barged into my apartment, to go into my private space with my private things and shit, that's still a little too much. And it's because the general's still a stranger to me.

Sure, I heard stories about him, but that was a while ago, and I don't have time to keep it all up.

I do meet so many new people, some of them I won't be able to see anymore, meaning they transferred to some place else, or are K.I.A.

I always hope for the first option ofcourse.

When I slowly entered my apartment, he came right into my sight, standing at the exact same position I saw him outside my window a moment ago. But this time he's facing me, meaning I can observe him properly.

I don't really know how to describe this man even more than I did outside. The only noticeable thing that catches my attention are the wrinkles covering his face, indicating he's getting old, but it also means he probably has been in this line of work longer than me.

His uniform, with his medals and stripes, is already a clue of that assumption I can make, or he stole it from someone but I doubt that.

"All settled here, sir?" I asked him questionably with a hint of frustration, slowly putting away my groceries in my kitchen that is directly linked to my living room.

I don't really care if he's a general in this situation; he just fucking needs to explain how he got in, and ofcourse what he wants from me.

"I have my ways sergeant." He spoke directly, hearing his voice ring through my head like I just heard on the phone.

I wonder what kind of ways he means by saying this, but lucky for him he didn't break anything, otherwise it totally would be another situation.

Again, I wouldn't care if he's a general, I always carry a gun with me, and if a stranger barged in like he did, I wouldn't dare to shoot him in the head.

But somehow this general doesn't seem like he has any bad intentions, I'm just wondering what he wants from me.

"Sure you do," I said simply, when I made my way towards the living room to still see him standing at the exact same place.

The general immediately reached out his hand, and as the fool as I am, I gladly took it in order to make my acquaintance.

His hand had a firm grip, like he had as good as well as bad intentions with me, but I don't know why these thoughts suddenly roamed my head.

"I guess it's time for you to explain why you just barged into my apparment, if you don't mind, sir?" I asked him sternly, only for him to smile at me briefly before he already made himself at home.

He gladly took a seat on one of my soft chairs, directly in front of my bench I slowly took my place. My living room isn't really that big, they call it an apartment for nothing.

And when he slowly took a seat, I somehow couldn't resist myself to observe his movements, and this whole situation he brought me into. I still can't believe I'm sitting right in front of the general of the U.S. army.
