PRESENT:
SAS/British Military, United Kingdom, 2022I couldn't have transferred faster enough towards the base of operations of this task force general Shepherd enlisted me for, flying towards the United Kingdom in a blink of an eye.
And to be honest, it isn't really that different from the NL MARSOF. With a lot of vehicles and equipment in the hanger, outfits as armor as I like to have it, guns and grenades, hehe.
It was a choice the general was offering me; coming with him or not, meaning I had to pack most of my stuff as fast as I could, indicating I eventually accepted the mission they wanted me for.
But it also meant I needed to leave everything behind, and that's difficult. It's still my hometown I left from, not knowing if I will be back because you always have to treat your next mission as your last. You don't hope that's going to happen ofcourse.
It's because Task Force 141, or at least general Shepherd, has apparently tangled himself in something much more, and we are here to fix his mistake?
I don't know if you can say it like this, because in the end we are all involved , and we have to work together to set this all right. And I know, I was never part of it, but it's sure as hell I am now.
Anything to help my fellow soldiers in the field, as they definitely need some now.
Time is limited when I comes to these things, and let me give you a brief recap of what happened so far. It's iat least what the general told me in my apartment before I decided to come along.
A few months earlier, Task Force 141 conducted surgical strikes against Russian-backed Iranian forces. They basically found out there was an arms deal going on in Al Mazrah, when an American ballistic missile strike assassinated Iranian general Ghorbrani.
But that's when things got a little more interesting, and the general somehow entangled himself in something much bigger.
Ghorbrani's second-in-command, Major Hassan Zyani, assumed the mantle of leadership, and became involved in funding terrorist activity over several months.
They already took some action if I want to believe, as his activities drew the attention of Shepherd, also of Kate Laswell, eventually ordering sergeant Soap, and lieutenant Ghost to apprehend Hassan in Al Mazrah.
But it was already too late, as Hassan fled the area with Ghost and Soap discovering that Hassan was somehow in possession of an American-made ballistic missile.
I don't know how the fuck Iran got their hands on that missile, but it's obvious there is so much more going on that we need to get to the bottom of it, and I do like some mystery to a mission, hoping we will figure out where this Hassan is hiding, or what.
It's why I already made my acquaintance with the captain of this squad, John Price, as he's leading me towards my sleeping bunk at this moment, while we're slowly getting to know each other.
Well, he's actually telling his story, as I'm too eager to throw a thousand questions at him because he sparked some interest with me, so he actually won't be able to ask me any questions at all.
The captain surely does have a fatherly figure, even if I haven't asked him yet if he has or had any children, and it might be a sensitive subject to talk about, as it is for me.
I think Price is about 6'2, 1.88m if you're European like me, and he's around thirtyseven years old, born in Herefordshire here in the United Kingdom.
He just told me he joined the infantry at the age of sixteen, and has served the British Army for eighteen years. And let me tell you, that's a long fucking time, if you're going to compare it to me at least.
