PRESENT/PAST: 2022
LOCATION: SAS/ British Military, United Kingdom
REALITY: original world > few minutes after Shepherd's betrayal (third person view/Shepherd)

"Are they all sedated?" He didn't avert his gaze from sergeant Franklin whom he just put back to sleep, and it didn't go without a fight. However, he knew he would win anyhow.

"Affirmative, sir,"

"Good," Shepherd said sternly, facing the British soldiers while walking towards the big screen where the storyline will appear in a moments notice.

It's gonna take a while, as he's planning to keep them here for a long time so that he can deal with his business without being interrupted.

He made a few adjustments beforehand, before his betrayal, knowing they might be stuck in there for god knows how long and then the entire storyline will just repeat itself as it never happened.

"Let's get started then, on my command," Shepherd commanded everything, ready for them to launch Project Nova.

He hopes this is going to give him enough time to teach all of these military fellas a lesson, and to not interrupt with his business ever again.

"What's happening? Someone tell me why it's going exactly into the opposite direction?!" Shepherd latched his question through the base.

The general's here rarely to check upon his subjects he had taken hostage a few months ago, dealing with his own problems as he occasionally had to return to the United States.

They were doing good inside the simulation; no one ever really reported something unusual back during the moment they got locked inside, playing the part and Shepherd had paid the C.I.A. enough money to keep their mouths shut in asking where the fuck Laswell is.

And to be honest, they've been stuck in there for a while now. They have played this storyline, this life, this trauma for about three times now, but the fourth time isn't really going into the right direction.

"Something is happening sir, I don't know what,"

"Well, fucking fix it! We can't let this happening, not now when we've come so far!"

The rest of his personnel immediately obeyed, the nurses constantly checking the subjects while working their asses off in trying to figure out why miss Louisa Franklin wasn't responding to any incentives around her.

It was after she noticed something in the streets of Las Almas. Something familiar but the soldiers working in here might have missed that, and noticed it too late before they called their boss.

"How is she?"

Never in a million years would you see the general being worried about a sergeant, one he had betrayed because somehow, he doesn't want this to fail. He doesn't want these distractions.

"She's not doing well. I don't know how this is happening, because it isn't my doing," One of the nurses said to him, as Shepherd made his way towards Louisa to check up on her.

She's still sleeping in the stand, but she's having concussions which is clearly to be seen in her vital functions; her heart rate going up and down rapidly because of her not responding to her surroundings.

It made general Shepherd very angry.

"So that means you haven't fixed it yet! Find the problem, because otherwise I will have you fired for fucking this up so quickly!" Shepherd raised his voice towards the soldiers behind the controls.
