"What are you doing here?" I managed to ask.

He shifted on his stance and looked past me, peering through the room. "Can we talk?"

My lips parted in awe and loss for words. Talk? We already talked last night. And that time in Tagaytay. I already said my piece... but then again, ako lang ang nagsalita nung mga oras na 'yon. He just listened to what I had to say.

The last time he initiated the conversation, all he did was lash at me. Was he not done? Am I going to listen to him spew hurtful words at me? Of course, I will. He gave me a chance to explain myself, it was only fair that I would listen to what he has to say.

And... if this was the only way that I could get more time with him, I would gladly take it.

I nodded and took a step back. He walked past me and my eyes closed on its own when I got a waft of his cologne. I was instantly hit with longing. I wanted to wrap my arms around him, bury my face on his chest, and get lost in his scent.

I pulled myself together and gently closed the door. My erratically beating heart was a testament of how nervous I felt. When was the last time that Hades and I were alone in a hotel room together?

When I turned around, Hades chose to sit on the bed instead of the small sitting area. I wasn't sure to do with myself so instead of closing our distance, I stayed rooted by the door. Hindi nakatulong na hindi pa rin siya nagsasalita hanggang ngayon.

The bottle of wine on top of the bedside table caught my attention. I pursed my lips and said the first thing that came into my mind, "You forgot the wine glass."

Hadeon glanced at the bottle of wine. He heavily sighed and looked at me, unamused.

"Come here," he huskily said. My stomach tightened at the sound.

I swallowed hard before taking careful steps towards him. I stopped when I was a few steps away from the bed. He tilted his head and looked at the space beside him.

I inhaled sharply and quickly sat on that space before he could order me again with that tempting voice of his.

He didn't talk for a while. I played with the ribbons of my robe to ease my anxiousness but it was only getting worse with every minute passing by.

"I'm sorry for confusing you." My hands automatically stopped from moving. I looked at him and instantly locked on his eyes that were already on me.

He confused me? Gusto kong itanong pero sinundan niya agad 'yon.

"When you left, I was hurt... but a part of me still hoped that you would still come back, but when I heard the news that you married him—" his voice broke at the end. He paused to take a breath before continuing, "I was broken beyond repair. I couldn't understand how you left me just like that. You never said that you loved me, but I felt it, or maybe that was what I wanted to believe at that time. Kaya hindi ko maintindihan."

"Then I got so mad." He closed his eyes. "Mad because you left a hole in my chest and I didn't know how to fix it. Mad at how easy it was for you to drop me just like that. I was mad because even though you successfully broke my heart into pieces... every bit of it was still in love with you." He peered at me, and I felt my heart melting at the last line. Words that I never thought I'd hear from him again.

"I wanted to follow you to New York." He licked his lips. His eyes were getting sharper as he progressed, "I asked Dharma for your whereabouts. I may have... hounded her so hard about it."

My eyes widened. Dharma never told me anything about this. She never mentioned that she was in contact with Hades.

"She never gave it to me though... but she probably pitied me that she told me something else."
