Hey yall I'll be back, I gotta go get Charli from B. I said grabbing my keys. Is everything okay? Li said. I am not quite sure, B sounded upset. I don't know what's going on, but something ain't right.  You want me to go with you, Ro said? No I can I go, I am sure it's nothing. I didn't even notice that the envelope was still on the table. Ti grabbed it and looked in it. Jay, I am going with you she said following me out the door.  It's cool I can go by myself, I said getting in the car. That's not why I am going with you, this is she said putting the envelope on the dashboard. Damn! I didn't say anything. I swear Jay if you start that silent treatment shit again... I am not; I just don't know what to say. Where did it come from?   I looked at her and she was so serious.  Please Ti, can we just talk about it later? You into some illegal shit now? It's not like that Ti, I promise. Well why he give it to you and when the hell did you see him anyway? By this time we had made it to Mari's house and there were cops and an ambulance everywhere. What the hell is going on Ti and I said looking the scene as we pulled up. I parked the car, and grabbed Ti's hand. Listen Ti I promise I will tell you once I take care of this.  I know you will, because I am not letting it go. She said putting the money into the glove compartment. I swear Jay if that nigga got you into some illegal stuff...He didn't Ti I promise.

We got out the car and I was looking around for B. I finally found him in the back of a cop car.  What the hell B, I said looking at him. Jay I ain't do it. Do what? Then they wheeled  Mari out on a stretcher. She had a neck brace on and both her eyes were blacked. B tell me you did not beat the shit out of her? Jay I promise you I didn't I came over to bring Charli back, her and some nigga was fighting.  Where is Charli at right now? Ti said I don't know I think one of the officers has him. I'll go get him Jay, you handle B.  Thanks babe.  She walked off to go find Charli.  Did you tell the cops what happened? I did, but they weren't trying to hear me. They just put me in handcuffs.

Damn B, I don't know boy, all this shit is too much. Jay I am sorry you told me not to get in anymore trouble and the shit is following me. Don't worry bro I'll take Charli, you know I got him if no one else does. There is something else Jay. What is it? They also question me about Andre. What! I whispered. B just don't say anything okay, I will get you a lawyer.  I know sis, just get him out of here I don't want him being around this. Ti take him to the car, I will go get his car seat and backpack.  She took him to the car, while I went in the house to grabbed his stuff. On my way out I walked past the ambulance and Mari started screaming for me.  

I went over to her to see how she was. Jay'mee! *She's the only person that calls me by my first name. Like even after I told her to call me Jay* Mari, what happened? Xavier and I were fighting; Brandon didn't have anything to do with it. I know Mari, he told me. Where'd Xavier go? He left as soon as Brandon pulled him off me. Is this over what I think it is? She didn't say anything. Come on Mari, you got Charli now. You can't keep doing this this teenage shit.Like for real you need to grow up and get your shit together. I know Jay'mee, i never meant for this to happen, will you take Charli? You already know I got him as long as yall need me to keep him. Thanks Jay'mee! No problem, I said getting out the ambulance.
