VI: For the Record: ~The Interview~

4 Years Later...

We are sitting here with Jay one of the greatest female music producers in the industry. She's worked with everyone from Mariah Carey to Sir Elton John and don't forget the greatest girl group of all time TLC. 

- Jay it's been a while since we last talk to you, what have you been up too? 

           Well Envy I've been kind of low key raising my girls and my nephew doing the mommy thing you know.

-That's right you are a mommy too, how are the girls and your nephew?

           Man those little girls are a trip, they keep me going. And my nephew man, he thinks he's the man of the house and he's only 10. Trust me there is never a     dull moment in the house with them around.

-So you know we have to pry in your business right? Your twins, their biological mother, is none other than Lisa Lopes. How do yall co-parent the girls, with her being off touring and stuff?

           Well let me just start off by saying that Lisa is their mother just as I am their mother. Even though things didn't work out with us we still have a lifetime bond and that's those little girls. We don't see each other a lot but when we do it's a respect thing. Lisa knows where we stand so that's all that matters.

-It's no secret that you were also involved with Tionne Watkins and Rozonda Thomas too; did that cause drama and confusion in the group?

           I was actually with Tionne before Lisa and Ro, so our relationship is a little different. She definitely knows what it is. It didn't cause confusion at all , the beautiful thing about our relationship was that we were completely open with each other. Like I mentioned earlier there is a mutual level of respect and a bond between the 4 of us.

-Well what happened, why did it end if you don't mind me asking?

           I won't give all the details but let me just put it this way, you know the saying if you really love something you can let it go and if its true love it will    come back to you. That's what happened it ended and if it is truly meant to be for us to be together; they know where I live and how to reach me.

-Damn Jay that was deep, I hope the girls of TLC are listening to this. True love always prevails. So before we rap up this interview, what's your next move? We hear you are heading back into the studio to do some work with some new upcoming artists.

           Yup, I am actually going back into the studio with the Pussy cat dolls in few weeks and I am also working on something's with Fergie and this new up and coming group out of Florida called Style 6. They are dope; they have this real eclectic sound. It's a fusion between dance hall and pop music.

I am so glad that's over I told Sami my assistant. I am sure you are. The girls are waiting down stairs with Charli. Okay, do I have anything else for today? I really want to spend some time with Charli before I send him to Florida with B.  Nope you're clear for the day. Great thanks Sami, I'll see you later I said going down to the first floor to get the kids. Come on kids lets go home, I said gathering their things.  The drive home was loud at first but once we stopped for pizza and ice cream them little ninjas were passed out. I finally got them into the house and in bed. Finally, some relaxation time for me, I plopped down on the couch and turned on Girlfriends. I was 30 minutes into the marathon of the show when the door bell rung. I wonder who that could be. When I opened the door, someone i surely wasn't expecting to see tonight.

You can obviously see the love is still there on Jay's side. But who was at the door?
