Chapter 28: Leaving

Sorry for the late chapter. The holidays have been busy. So, I overcompensated and completed three chapters all for today. Hope you all enjoyed whatever holiday you celebrate!

"That's cool, you got your own camera." Boris said to the Projectionist. Projectionist nodded excitedly. "Hello." Mugman said waving to the man with a camera for a head. The camera man waved back. "Oh right." Boris said, "Projectionist this is Mugman, he and his brother saved Bendy." The Projectionist performed a series of movements resembling sign language. "You already knew?" Boris asked. The Projectionist nodded and made some more hand movements.

"I'm not sure. I didn't go down with them." Boris said. "What did he say?" Mugman asked. "You don't know sign language?" "No?" Mugman admitted. "I'll teach you later." Boris stated, "Well, Projectionist asked what hell was like." "Oh, it's just a barren wasteland with a bunch of broken buildings and fire." Mugman said nonchalantly, turning to the Projectionist. The Projectionist made more hand movements. "Sorry, I don't understand sign language." Mugman apologized. "He's wondering how you found Bendy." Boris said to Mugman.

"Well, to move around we had to disguise ourselves to make sure other demons didn't see us, so we hid under a few broken trashcans and wandered around for a while until we spotted him." Mugman said. "Trashcans?" "Yeah, it was weird Hell even had them considering most of the garbage was just laid on the ground." The Projectionist picked his camera back up, waved and started to walk off. "Where are you going?" Boris asked. The Projectionist signed a quick sentence and walked off. "Where's he going?" "Said he was going to look for Sally and Alice."

Boris and Mugman talked with each other about any random things that came to their minds. They talked for about half an hour before Bendy and Cuphead found them. "Alright, you two ready to go?" Bendy asked. Mugman and Boris both nodded and the four said their goodbyes and left the theater. When they stepped outside it was pitch black. "Woah didn't realize we've been here so long." Boris said, scratching his head. "Me either." Bendy said to his brother. "Well, no time to waste. We better get home before Elder Kettle starts to worry." Mugman said, starting to walk home.

They chatted on the way home, but Mugman noticed something wrong with Cuphead. Cuphead was quieter than usual which is odd considering how Cuphead had a tendency to run off at the mouth. "Hey, can you two walk ahead? I need to talk to Cuphead." Mugman asked the ink brothers. "Sure." Bendy shrugged as Mugman pulled Cuphead away forcibly. "What the hell was that for!" Cuphead shouted out of confusion. "What's wrong with you?" Mugman asked. "What are you talking about? Nothin' is wrong with me." Cuphead replied nervously. 

"Don't lie to me. You've barely said a word since we left the theater. What happened?" Mugman said knowingly. Cuphead wished that Mugman wasn't so good at reading him. Cuphead sighed then looked over to make sure the ink brothers were out of sight. "I...I'm not sure what's going on. I was fine most of the time we were there, but then Sally said somethin' that freaked me out, I guess. It's not real important." "What did she say that got you so...silent?" Cuphead's face flushed suddenly which only made Mugman more curious.

"It...It's not important. Forget I ever said anythin'." Cuphead said, turning away. Mugman grew more curious and pestered Cuphead for an answer. "Fine!" Cuphead yelled then quickly corrected himself to a quieter tone so only Mugman could hear. "S-she called Bendy my...boyfriend." Cuphead whispered. "And then we were talkin' to that Projectionist guy when he left to go find you guys and I got nervous. It was like I was scared to be alone with Bendy which is weird cause I'm not scared of Bendy. In fact, I think he's really cool and-"Cuphead stopped mid-sentence as he realized what this meant, "Crap."
