When they arrived back at the Inkwell Isles the cup brothers insisted that they walk everyone to their houses before going home. They didn't want to go home in fear of how Elder Kettle would react and Cuphead felt too emotionally drained to deal with him today. They dropped off everyone and the group, now including Sammy, despite Cuphead's many protests began to head home. "We don't have to go home yet. I mean do you guys really want to hear Elder Kettle blame you guys again?" Cuphead said in a tired voice. "Don't worry Cuppy, we'll be alright." Bendy said as he wrapped his arm over Cuphead's shoulders.

They walked into Cuphead and Mugman's house which was surprisingly quiet. The group looked around a bit, finding no one was home. Mugman looked through the house and found a spare mattress lying around. He laid it in Bendy and Boris's room. "Sorry we don't have any more beds." Mugman said apologetically. "It is alright. Thank you Mugman." Sammy replied. Everyone collectively agreed that it would be best if they went to sleep now and delt with Elder Kettle in the morning. So, that's exactly what they did. Cuphead shifted as he tried to get comfortable and dozed off to sleep.

Cuphead awoke to shouting from the kitchen. "Elder Kettle must be home." Cuphead mumbled to himself as he rolled out of bed, still groggy. He stumbled into the kitchen and waited for someone to notice that he walked in as he listened to the argument. "Where the hell were you?!" Elder Kettle exclaimed to Mugman. "There was an emergency at Bendy and Boris's island." Mugman said calmly as to not escalate the situation further, "They told us to stay here but we wanted to help." Elder Kettle sighed, "Why didn't you tell me."

"You weren't home." Cuphead said pushing himself into the conversation. "You could have always left a note ya'know." Elder Kettle said in an exasperated tone. Cuphead and Mugman just looked at each other with a why didn't we think of that? kind of look. "Something tells me you two didn't think of that." "Never once crossed our minds!" Mugman said happily. Cuphead giggled but then remembered something, "Oh. Someone else is staying with us now too!" Elder Kettle turned to Cuphead, "Who?" "Boris and Bendy's friend, Sammy. We gave him an extra mat last night."

"Let me guess. He wanted to come with those two but doesn't have a place to stay." Elder Kettle sighed. "Bingo!" Cuphead said. Elder Kettle sighed but then looked as if he got an idea. "Ya'know what? I'll forgive ya two if you help me with breakfast for one- no, two weeks." Elder Kettle decided. "Deal!" Cuphead and Mugman said instantly, happy that this didn't turn out like last time. So, the cup brothers got to work and fetched up some eggs and bacon for breakfast. As soon as they finished Bendy, as if on cue, stepped into the kitchen once again wrapped up in a blanket.

Cuphead blushed at the sight. He thought Bendy was incredibly cute when wrapped in blankets half asleep. "Good morning Bendy." he said sweetly. Bendy just nodded as a response. Cuphead led Bendy to the dining room table and handed him a plate. "We need a house soon." Bendy groaned. "Why?" Cuphead asked with curiosity. "Sammy snores." Bendy said flatly. Cuphead giggled and contemplated giving Bendy a kiss on the cheek. He thought about it for a second before ultimately deciding not to. Not because he didn't want to but because Elder Kettle was nearby and Cuphead wanted to at least tell him before kissing Bendy in front of him.
