"What if someone interrupts our wedding mid way through to confess their love for me?" I look at myself through the mirror as Lola helped fix my dress.

"Trust me, that's not happening. It's just your wedding nerves." She assured me but it was still in the back of my head.

I had waited a whole year to marry Heath and today was the day where it would finally come true. I never thought I'd get married, I always pictured myself as a single old dog lady who would occasionally have her fun flings.

At least now I'll still grow to be a married old dog lady. Imagining Heath in my future right besides me is way better anyway.

"There, you look perfect." Lola says, stepping back and staring me up and down.

"You're not only saying that cause it's my wedding day right?" I ask and actually look myself long and hard in the mirror in front of me.

"Of course not. I'm jealous you look better than I did at my wedding." She smiles and I look at her with a smile.

I watch my dress in the mirror and remember how excited I was the day I had picked it out. It hugged everywhere perfectly and the length of the train was just as perfectly long. Heath would try anything to get me to show it to him but I explained to him that it was bad luck and denied every time he would ask.

The vail wasn't covering my face yet but even then I liked the way I looked. I decided I wasn't going to be nervous, instead I'll just pretend like those jitters weren't there and go in 10x more exited than I am.

Pieces of my hair strands framed my face but only a little as I kept it in an up and down hairdo. I felt like a princess when I woke up this morning with all the preparations I had to make before the wedding and I was getting special treatment from everyone which is always a nice feeling.

I hadn't seen Heath all day, at least not since early morning and I miss him already.

"Okay I'm ready. Are you ready?" I asked Lola and she only nodded.

"I've been ready and so has everyone else. They've been waiting for at least 10 minutes. I think everyone's worried if you'll even show up." She chuckles.

"It only adds more suspense. That's how a wedding with me as a bride should be. Dramatic." I tell her and fix her blonde hair which had gotten loose all of a sudden.

As my bridesmaid I made her and Noa dress in light pink dresses which made Lola and Noa look just as beautiful.

"I'll see you out there. Try not to embarrass yourself and trip and fall on your face." She pats me on the back before she makes her way out.

"Oh thanks for putting that fear in my head when it wasn't even there before!" I shout before she could leave.

"Wow." I watch my dad as he walks in wearing a tux and his hair gelled back nicely. I've never seen him dressed this nice before.
