Heyyy this is just a short story because I felt like doing one. Hope you like it!
(Annabeth's POV)
Percy had bought our family some Yankees tickets so we were all heading out to the stadium today. Charlie and Percy wore their Yankees jerseys things. I dressed Zoe in her blue shirt and overalls with white ribbons in her pigtails. I was going to wear my Yankees shirt but it didn't fit over my stomach. I finally settled on wearing one of Percy's giant white t-shirts and writing the word Yankees on it. I looked like the biggest idiot out there with my DIY but I didn't care. At least my baby and I were supporting our team!
When we showed up it was so crowded we could barely get into the stadium. I kept bumping into people with my stomach. Occasionally when someone in front of us would get on my nerves I would run into them from behind and pretend we were playing bumper cars. They would usually say some things that I would consider not G-rated. As soon as we found our seat Charlie and Zoe wanted to get back up to get food. Since my ADHD was kicking in I took the kids over to get hotdogs. I held their hands and we bought 2 hotdogs, a giant popcorn, and some peanuts.
Finally the game started. I held my Yankees hat in my lap just for good luck and so I didn't have to wear it. Zoe picked it up and asked why I didn't wear it.
"Because Sweetie I don't wanna mess up my hair," I lied. If I told my kids you could turn invisible with it they would probably steal it and disappear to the ice cream shop.
She laughed and told me she'd wear it instead. But luckily I never lost my battle reflexes. It was starting to get extremely hot and I was not feeling good anymore. I just wanted to eat Froyo and watch the history channel. Curse these cravings. Then the announcer announced (hah no dip Sherlock)
"Now let's have the kissing cam!" I looked at Percy and he laughed. We watched the cheesy couples kiss each other to be on the jumbo tron. Then Percy turned to me and kissed my stomach - the camera caught it.
"Mommy Daddy you're on tv!" Zoe yelped.
"That's not the tv Zoe," Charlie said giving her a playful punch.
Percy and I looked over at the giant screen and laughed. Percy kissed me on the lips and I kissed him back and we heard the crowd cheer. Then Zoe jumped in front of us and did her jazz hands and we heard the crowd laugh. Charlie pulled her out of the way and she yelled,
"Stop the camera loves me!"
Percy and I broke apart and just laughed at our dysfunctional family.
