Crowley made his way downstairs after Gabriel returned after he called Bella. Crowley had left the Archangel with Eden, the twins and Kokabiela in their master bedroom. For some reason Gabriel wanted the youngest children in there with them.

"Grandpa." Polaris had left his room and ran to his grandpa, throwing his arms around Crowley’s waist. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt Mummy! I thought I was far enough away from the cranberry patch, honest!"

Confused, Crowley replied, "Wot are you on about, Lars?" But the boy was clearly too upset to answer.

"Hey, hey, it's okay starlight. Mummy is fine. Don't cry. Come on, let's go downstairs and help Grandfather decide what other things he can make with the cranberries we picked."

Not waiting for an answer, Crowley wiped away Polaris's tears and then took him by the hand, leading him downstairs.

Crowley knew something must have happened in order to upset Polaris so much.

And he was going to find out.
