Chapter 24

"You guys alright?" You asked through the earpiece.

"Im safe! You were right y/n! Im so cold now tho-" Hagakure said in a joyfull manner while shivering.

"Im safe as well! We're going to need to hold out for now, we can warm up when we're finished." Ojiro said determined, with a new found confidence as the plan had worked well 'til now.

You waited in anticipation as todoroki approached the stairs, the class in the observation room shivering from how cold it was.

Todoroki became suspicious of the lack of struggle he heard in the building. The most concerning fact being the quiet, not a single sound could be heard through any of the floors.
He expected some sort of sound to be heard from his classmates, struggling against his ice.

He became wary of the situation, suddenly aware that his plan might have worked out as well as he wished.

Breathing out the cold air carefully you watched todoroki walk through the floor. You smiled as you noticed Todoroki being on edge despite the cold emotionless look on his face.

His steps ecoing, slowly approaching the stairs.
You narrowed your eyes watching him go to the first flight of stairs, activating one of your devices fastened on top of the floor.

Todoroki could hear his own cold breath as he walked. He was getting ready for whatever attacks that might come his way. He was on egde, making him irritated of how much it affected him.

"Todoroki, are you alright in there?" Shoji, said through the earpiece.

Todoroki silently arrived on the second floor, slowly moving his hand to answer his teammate.
"Yeah-"

The device made a loud sound behind him, mimicking that of an attack.

Already on egde Todoroki was quick to act and turned to freeze whatever was behind him, sending a wave of ice to the stairs.

He slightly widened his eyes realizing that there was no one there and that he had blocked the one exit he had, or the one opening his teammate had access to.

Taking advantage of his shock you jumped forward throwing a little bomb his way.
By the moment he turned around again the bomb exploded, filled with capture tape launching his way.

He quickly sent another wave of ice protecting himself from your attack.

Voices filled with suprise were heard from the observation room.

"Way to catch him off guard!"

"How did they all avoid the ice like that?"

"Its so cold-"

"Woah, are all those things part of his quirk?"
Kirishima asked out loud, curiosity and amazement visible in his voice.

Yaoyorozu smiled confidently at the screen.
"No, they're all y/n's own creations."

As todoroki attack you jumped to the side, avoiding the ice. Your shoes, modified for the exercise gripped onto the ground helping your movements become stable.

While he was distracted avoiding the capturing tape you jumped towards him quickly snatching his ear piece before he reacted with more ice your way.

You jumped back avoiding the ice once more. He stopped for a second, his hand reaching up to his ear. He narrowed his eyes at you, realizing what you had done.

"Todoroki, are you okay?! Im hearing noises from the first floor."

It felt like you had a stare down with the duel haired student as his eyes stared at your form as you held the ear piece in your hand.

"We'll cut of their communication in order to hopefully gain extra time." You explained to your two teammates.

"Won't one of them become suspicous of the long wait? They might try to reunite with their teammate incase something were to happen" ojirou said, thinking of different outcomes.

"Of course they will. We'll use that to our advantage."

Shouji frowned as his earpiece recieved a crushing sound followed by complete silence.

He started carefully jogging into the building, avoiding falling on the ice. His eyes widened seeing the blocked pathway up the stairs.

He quickly regained his composure efficiently trying to find another way up.

"Once their communication is completely cut off i'll try to stall them for as long as i can" you explained, standing ready with your team.

"From there, you two will have to take over."

Todoroki frowned as he realized what you had done, the broken parts of his earpiece falling out of your hand.

Without wasting more time he sent yet another ice attack your way. Aware of his attack pattern you jumped to the side, further and further away from him towards the windows of the building.

You followed his movements completely as he sent another wave, jumping to the side once more.

It seemed he grew impatient, constantly sending more ice as he slowly closed the distance between the two of you.

You moved quickly for each time, breathing out mist from the cold air. The air had gotten colder in the room, for the windows had all been blocked by ice.

He stared coldly at you, feeling ice creep up his neck from the overuse of his quirk.

Shoji stared at the ice covered windows. Realizing it was now all up to him he began climbing. Using his immense strength and extra limbs he climbed up to the floor above, the silence deafening.

Despite the chilly atmosphere he hurried to the stairs, worried he might run out of time.

Your classmates stood in awe at your efforts, yet nervous of the outcome.

"Are you not cold todoroki?" You slightly smirked at him, trying to buy as much time as you could.

[Personal skill, The fourth wall, is activated.]
[The effects of the cold atmosphere has been dulled]

"Arent you?" He said, a slight shiver in his voice.

Kinda disapointing that we're still in the boring part of the story after so long but we'll get there...eventually💀

Also trying to slowly edit past chapter so its more enjoyable for new readers.
