『 proposal 』

I held the bouquet of Cecilia in my hand, they were for Venti. His favorite flowers, for my favorite person.

I had a smile on my face, Smiles was rare for me.

Since I was always so caught up in work, we decided to go on a date. For some reason, Venti wanted to go to karaoke. I booked a private room for us. It was pretty popular, and I thought it was a pretty nice date.

Honestly, I was gonna propose. Tonight. I know that this 'karaoke date' wasn't the most romantic thing in the world, but Venti loved music and singing, it's better to propose to someone while doing something they love rather than proposing like on a general date.

I sat on the couch, looking at my phone, I heard the door click open and I saw a very cute boy enter the room.

"Hi, Xiao!" Venti said, waving with a big smile on his face.

"Hello, my love," I said, kissing his hand as he sat down next to me.

I handed him the bouquet and he looked at me with a shocked expression, his eyes grew wide and his whole face lit up, just as if I had just turned on a light and the whole room lit up.

"You didn't have to Xiao!!!!" Venti said with a big smile.

"You know I would kill for you," I said, kissing his hand.

Venti reached for a microphone and tapped it as if he was testing it.

"Wanna sing?" Venti asked me, handing me a second microphone.

"You can go first," I replied, I honestly didn't think I was the best singer at all, but I knew Venti had an angelic voice.

"Okay!" Venti said, putting a song into the TV.

He clicked on a song called "This Side Of Paradise".

I sat comfortably on the couch as Venti sat right next to me, clearing his throat with a small cough before he started.

He started to sing, I gazed at him as he sang his heart out, Music was his passion as a whole. He seemed so happy, I wished he could be mine, forever.

"Are you Lonely? Passion is crashing as we speak." Venti sang.

Maybe today was the start of something entirely new, for both of us.

"You seem so lonely, You're the ground my feet won't reach."

I smiled as I watched his happy face, He was so.. happy. I loved him more than anything.

"I'll be the only dream you seek. So if you're lonely, come be lonely with me"

Yes, we were opposites. Total opposites. But I loved him more than anything, He was mine, he was my whole world, and I would do anything for him.

I didn't realize that the song had ended, I was zoned out, and my mind was only filled with his thoughts of him.

"Xiao? Xiao?" Venti said, waving his hand in front of my face.

"Ah- yes?" I said, snapping back to reality.

"Are you alright?" Venti asked.

"Yes, I'm fine," I said.

After a few songs, I realized that I had to propose sooner or later. And I decided that now was the time.
