『 forbidden 』

Xiao POV:

I gazed at the sunset sky, sipping hot tea at the stone table on Mt. Aocang. I was relaxed, with a full heart.

I was smiling, I never do. But now I know that Venti loves me. And that's a feeling that I never knew that I could experience, but I felt happy. So happy.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Morax, Cloud Retainer, and Ganyu come to the table and sit down. Cloud retainer stood since there were only 3 chairs.

"We have called you here, Xiao.. to discuss something important." The geo archon said, sipping some hot tea.

My smile quickly faded as I saw the serious look on his face.

"What?" I responded.

"To talk about Barbatos."

My eyes quickly widened as I heard what he said.

"Barbatos?" I said, tilting my head to the side curiously.

"We all at this table can tell that you.. are in love," Ganyu said softly.

"What? Who said I was in love with him?" I quickly responded.

"We can all tell, Xiao. Your soft smiles are rare, but we see them more frequently than usual." Cloud retainer said.

"About you and Barbatos' relationship..." Morax muttered.

I softly smiled at the thought.

"I forbid it."

Morax's words echoed through my mind. What did he mean? What was he saying?

"What?" I responded, maybe I misheard something.

"I forbid both of you to be in a relationship. I know you love him Xiao, but I'm sorry." He repeated, I sat there in silence, looking right into his eyes.

The silence was so loud.

Ganyu's POV

I saw Xiao sit upright in his seat, looking right into Rex Lapis' eyes. The tension was so thick you could cut through it.

I knew Xiao.

I knew him so well.

And right now,

I can tell that his world is crashing beneath him.

"You can't just do that," Xiao mumbled, looking down at his hands.

"I can do that." My archon responded.

"I will not let you take Barbatos away from me. I LOVE HIM." Xiao yelled, standing up and slamming his hand on the table, almost breaking it.

It was the first time I had ever seen Xiao argue back with Rex Lapis. It was a sight to see, unfortunately, it wasn't a pretty one.

"Don't forget that I am your god, Xiao." Rex Lapis said.

"Just leave me alone," Xiao said in a cold, angry tone. Lowering his head and teleporting away.

Morax sighed and took a sip of his tea.

"I'm sorry Rex Lapis, but I must go," I said, getting up and bowing my head.

"Go ahead, Ganyu." Cloud retainer said.

I quickly rushed to where I knew Xiao would be.

I headed up to qingyun peak, a place where most people can't and don't go. It's a small little island dwelling in the clouds.

I stepped onto the small island to see Xiao sitting there, his head in his hands.

I silently came and sat next to him, not saying a word and just looked at him, silently crying.
