As soon as I finished the tiring discussion with Engfa, my mind was already racing with thoughts of the upcoming party. I had to make sure that everything was perfect for my best friend's birthday celebration.
Rushing to my room as soon as I arrived home, I started packing a few things I might need for the trip. I grabbed my beach attire, a couple of dresses, and some toiletries. I double-checked everything, making sure that I had packed everything I needed. It was a relief to have an assistant to help me with all the small details.
Once I was satisfied that I had everything I needed, I handed my bag to my assistant to place it in my car.
The excitement was overwhelming as I got ready for the party. I had decided to take a drive by myself, to enjoy some peace and quiet before the festivities began. The beach house that her birthday was going to be held at was owned by her family in West Sussex.
I remembered going there a few times when we were kids, as we both loved the sea so much. As I drove, I admired the rolling hills and picturesque countryside. It took me about one hour and forty minutes, but the anticipation kept me going.
Upon my arrival, I parked my matte black 2022 Audi R8 in the long driveway and took a moment to admire the beautiful scenery. The beach house, painted in a pristine white, towered over me, and the salty sea air filled my lungs. Memories of playing in the sand with Heidi when we were young came flooding back. I couldn't help but smile.

I grabbed everything I needed from my trunk and proceeded inside the beach house. It was just as I remembered it from my childhood – spacious, airy, and filled with natural light. I took in the sight of the high ceilings, the vast windows, and the cozy furniture that gave the place a warm and welcoming feeling.
Instantly, I heard a familiar voice behind me. "Charlotte, you made it!" It was Heidi's mother, who had always been kind to me. "How was the drive?"
"It was lovely," I replied, giving her a warm smile. "This place is as beautiful as I remember it."
Heidi's mother nodded in agreement, and we chatted for a while longer before she turned towards the door. Heidi's mother bid us farewell, leaving behind a warm feeling in the house. Heidi and I chatted for a while longer, catching up on old times and reminiscing about our childhood. She looked stunning in her sexy dress and makeup, and I couldn't help but compliment her on her appearance.
"I'm so happy you could make it, Charlotte!" Heidi exclaimed, giving me a warm hug.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world," I replied, squeezing back.
Right after I hugged Heidi I was taken aback by the sudden embrace from behind. I turned around to see who it was. To my surprise, It was Roberta. Her long, wavy hair tickled my face, and I could smell the sweet scent of her perfume. We had been friends for years, and I was happy to see her again after so long. She had been away on a trip and I hadn't seen her in a week which felt like years.
