Springtime, an Easter Wedding Time

Chapter 3

Jill returned to the apartment building and knocked on Paul's door.

He answered it and saw her sweet smile.

"Oh, Jill. I'm a little surprised to see you" said Paul.

"Are you?" said Jill cheekily.

"A little. Aren't you in Actorville tonight?" said Paul.

"Not tonight. I leave for Acapulco tomorrow and I thought you'd want a night with me before I go" Jill explained.

"You know I do. Come on in" said Paul. 

Jill came into the apartment.

"Tea?" Paul offered. 

"No thank you" said Jill politely. 

She sat sown on the couch and let Paul join her.

He wrapped his arm around her and she rested her head on his shoulder.

"So you bought a wedding dress?" said Paul.

"Yes. Patty took me shopping the other day. Would you like to see it?" said Jill.

"Not until the wedding" said Paul.

"Oh yes. I forgot, it's bad luck" said Jill. 

Paul laughed then said "I'm really gonna miss you, Jilly."

"I'm gonna miss you too. Especially your music" said Jill.

"I'm not sure my music is something to miss" said Paul.

"Maybe. But I'll certainly miss holding you" said Jill. 

"Me too. Y'know, I used to date Meg before she married Chad and she was almost never around because of her job. How am I not used to this?" said Paul.

"I dunno. But I do know that I'll be back" said Jill.

She sang to Paul to try and comfort him.

"Goodness, Jill. Where'd you learn all that?" said Paul.

"I s'pose ever since I met those kids, my senses have really begun to find themselves" said Jill.

"They are like that" said Paul.
