Springtime, an Easter Wedding Time

Chapter 11

George picked up the phone and called Chad. 

"Chad Stuart" said Chad when he picked up.

"Chad, it's George" 

"Oh, hello, George. How's rehearsal going?" said Chad.

"Delightful!" said George sarcastically. 

Then he picked up a serious tone and said "Listen. Paul just collapsed (again) and your wife is away. We thought you'd be a good replacement for her."

"Me? George, I appreciate the offer, but..." Chad started.

"Come on. You have to remember some of your experience in medical school. If Paul wakes up, he's gonna want Meg and you're the closest we can get to her" said George.

"Well, thank you very much, Harrison" said Chad sarcastically. 

"Please before this turns into something serious" said George. 

Chad thought on it for a second then said "Alright. I'll see what I can do."

"Thanks, Chad" said George hanging up the phone. 

"Well?" said Ringo.

"He's on his way" said George.

"Gear. In the meantime, let's get Paul into bed. Most doctors expect that" said John. 

The boys got Paul into bed just as Chad made it. 

"He's in bed, Chad" said Ringo.

Chad nodded then approached Paul.

"What could be the cause of this one? It's probably the most random time" said George.

"I dunno, Georgie, but it's been known to happen" said Ringo.

"Well, why don't we stop hashing out how random it is and let Dr Stuart figure this out" said John. 

Chad laughed a little then inspected Paul.

"Oh, blimey... I don't know exactly how to diagnose him just by knowing he fainted" he said.

"What? You said you remembered your training" said John.

"That was for surgery. I can't know for certain if he needs a surgery until I'm told" said Chad.

"Well, who else is gonna help?" said George.

"George, are you forgetting? Your best friends are the best at solving mysteries" said Chad.

"But there's only two of them. Sam went on the trip too" said Ringo. 

"Then call the other two; we've no time to lose" said Chad. 

"Y'know, he might be right. Paul's getting married in a couple of days and we can't let Jill come back and see him like this" said John. 

"Then it's settled. I'll sound the alert" said Ringo.
