Toxic Relationship With Tony Stark

Part 41 - Slow Hands

This is a special day, you have many mixed feelings about it. It's Emma's wedding, your friend's from work. She's been planning this for months and you've all been waiting to attend it. Tony's your date of course, who else could it be? Although, a wedding that you're attending with Tony brings some nostalgia on the surface. Yes, your relationship is moving forward, especially after moving in together, but will it ever reach this stage? Will Tony ever get over his fear of commitment? You hope he will.

"You know all eyes will be on you and not on the bride, right?" Tony smiles.

"That's flattering but I know it's not true" you chuckle.

"Well, I'm certain of it" he offers you his elbow, which you gladly accept and walk next to him.

He locks the car and together you stare at the beautiful place that the wedding is taking place at. It all looks so beautiful and dreamy, nice colours and decorations everywhere.

You're not between the first people that arrive at the wedding but that's not something that surprises you. No matter how long you need to get ready, Tony will always need more time.

"Alice, Tony!" you hear the first familiar voice and turn your head to see Anne somewhere in the crowd, where she is with one of your coworkers.

Without much thought, you go over to her and hug each other. Tony shares a smile and a little greet with her and then you stay all together in that place. It's not long later that Sebastian and his date find you and you all take a seat because it's time for the ceremony.

You love weddings, that's not a secret. And even if it was, Tony and everyone else would've understood it by now. Your eyes are locked on the bride and groom and you observe everything closely. You even get teary during their speeches because of how lovely they are.

Tony notices and beautifully wraps his arm around your back, helping you lean on his shoulder for comfort. You share a look and you can tell he's laughing about you tearing up but also is comforting you at the same time.

"They were beautiful, don't mock me" you whisper only for him to hear.

"I'm not saying anything" he playfully smirks.

You then turn your eyes on the couple again and watch in awe as they share their first kiss as husband and wife. Your one hand interlocks with Tony's and you squeeze each other during this wonderful moment.

Anne and Sebastian, who are the only other ones in your group that know the couple, are also very emotional and happy. You all cheer when the ceremony is officially over and stand up, slowly getting ready to move on to the after party, which is in a nearby location.

"God, I love weddings so much. This was so beautiful" you say when you're back in the car with Tony.

"I haven't been at one lately but this indeed was very nice" Tony agrees with you and you look at each other with smiles on your faces.

After all these hours and with all the emotions taking over you, you find the opportunity to lovingly kiss each other in the privacy of your car. Your hand rests on his thigh during the kiss and his hand caresses your cheek and neck for these few seconds.

"Are you ready for the party?" he asks you.

"Yes, definitely" you smile widely.

He smiles too and starts driving you there. During that drive you couldn't take your eyes off of him. He's just so handsome in his custom made suit and tie. Although, his appearance isn't the only thing that's going through your mind.

You couldn't help but picture yourself with Tony during the ceremony. How perfect it would be if you were in their shoes. If Tony was your husband. You can't know if the same thoughts went through his brain at all and you're not going to ask. Freaking him out is the last thing you want to achieve at this stage of your relationship.
