Scarlett’s POV
4 days that’s how long she’s been missing and I hate to say it but I don’t think she’s coming home alive. “MA’AM YOU NEED TO COME WITH ME!” A Marine says bursting into Louri’s office where I have been staying. “What’s going on?” I ask picking up my son. “They found Major Evans Ma’am you are needed in the Generals office.” He says and I take off running with a half awake Devon in my arms. “Please tell me she’s alive.” I say opening the door. “She’s alive and on her way here to the millitary hospital in L.A per her requests.” He says with a smile and I fall to my knees and cry tears of joy. “Why you cry?” Devon asks fully awake now. “Mama’s coming home sweetie and I am really happy.” I tell him and his face lights up. “She’ll be here tomorrow.” Jerry says. “Thank you so much Jerry thank you.” I tell him and he shakes his head. “It’s not me you should thank. Sargent Henderson was supposed to come back today to tell you that she was declared KIA. But Unit 4077th had other ideas and they all went rouge to find her.” He tells me and the minute he said KIA my heart dropped. “They were going to decare her KIA?” I say as a new wave of tears come. “Yes but she’s on her way home along with her unit they refused to leave her side. They will be landing here at 04:00 hours tomorrow. If you want to be here when she gets here, you can ride with her in the ambulance.” He tells me. “Of course I will be here. I need to tell our family that she’s coming home alive.” I say to him, “Of course.” He tells me before I leave his office to go inform our family and the cast.

Louri’s POV
“You guys are lucky you found me or else you idiots would have lost your jobs.” I tell my unit as we land and they escourt me off on a cot. “Yeah but you would do the same. And I think there’s someone here for you.” He says pointing to a crying Scarlett with Devon and I start to tear up I never thought I would see them again. “IT’S MAMA!” I hear Devon and his voice is like music to me and I just start to let the tears fall. “Are you ok Louri are in pain?” Tom asks. “I never thought I would see my wife and son again the minute I traded myself for you guys and the others.” I tell him as I hear footsteps rapidly approaching. “Yeah that was stupid and you are never doing that again.” Tom says, making me nod. “But you all made it.” I say before a shooting pain on my abs makes me scream. “AAGGHH!!”. “Devon! I told you not to leave my arms.” Scarlett says. “SCARLETT GET HIM OFF ME!!” I scream in pain as she picks him up. “Major I’m going to give you some morphine to help with the pain.” A medic says as I am swiched from the cot to an ambulance gurney and I just nod, screwing my eyes shut and gritting my teeth. “I sorry Mama.” Devon says, crying. “Uh huh I know buddy I’m sorry for yelling at you. Ah fuck my stitches ripped Medic I’m bleeding.” I point out. “I hurt Mama like the bad men.” Devon starts crying again. “Hey! Little Marine look at me.” I say in the same tone I use with my men and he looks at me. “You are not like the bad guys do you understand me Little Marine?” I say to him and he nods and smiles at his nickname. “Now come here there’s enough room on this gurney for you but you need to stay on my right side ok this side.” I say to him and Scarlett gladly hands him to me knowing I need my son. “Major I don’t know if…” The medic starts but I give them a death glare. I cover up Devon’s ears before speaking. “I didn’t think I would ever see my baby or my wife ever again I know where my worst inguries are I am a trained medic if I thought it would cause me harm I wouldn’t have him lay with me so shut the fuck up and help my wife into the ambulance now Marine.” I order then take my hands off Devon’s ears as I am put in the ambulance. “How are you still alive damn with this list of injuries you should be dead.” The other Medic says looking at my chartand Scarlett’s grip on my hand tightens. “Because I have something to fight for.” I say looking at Devon and Scarlett. “Aww that’s adorable.” Tom says getting into the ambulance despite what the medic said. “Fuck off Tom.” I say making him laugh but I instantly regret it when I hear Devon. “Fuck off.” He giggles. “You have been home for less than an hour and he’s cussing.” Tom says laughing but stops when he sees Scarlett’s glare. “I’m sorry it is his favorite word so.”I’m not mad that he cussed. I don't care anymore I’ve given up on stopping him. I’m furious at you because Greg told me how you got captured.” She says with tears in her eyes. “I didn’t see any other way out and I am sorry Baby.” I tell her. “I thought you said Devon and I come first.” She says angry and I know she’s hurt and doesn’t mean ot but before I can answer Tom does. “Hey! That’s not fair and you know it.” Tom snaps. “Tom.” I start but he cuts me off. “No no she didn’t she you when you were found she got to see the cleaned and stitched up you with clean sweats. No and she didn’t get a chance to read this either.” Tom says with tears in his eyes pulling out the letter I wrote to her while I was being held captive. “Tom, don't.” I say but it’s no use as he unfolds the paper. “No she wants to say that shit then she needs to know what this says." He says angrily. “Give me that.” Scarlett says then reads the letter out loud thank god Devon fell asleep it is nearly 5 in the morning after all
(Dear Scarlett and Devon.
I’m so sorry for breaking my promise but I had to do it. I couldn’t let them kill fifty people if I knew I could do something to prevent it. Scarlett I know you will be furious with me and I you don’t know how sorry I am. I don’t even know if you will ever get this. Devon my Little Marine please know that I never stopped thinking of you and Mommy. You two are the reason I am still alive and I hope that I can come back to you and you will never have to read this or the letters in my desk. I love you both so much and I am so sorry for the hell I am putting you through. I never wanted to hurt either of you. Scarlett you will never know how much you changed my life the day I met you in 2007. You mean more to me than my unit and I know it might not feel like that to you right now but I love you and I’m so sorry I could say that a million times and it still wouldn’t be enough.

Scarlett finishes the letter crying. “This is dated the day you were taken.” She says through tears. “Fuck you Tom I didn’t want to cause her any more pain and now she’s crying again.” I say pissed. “We’re here Major.” The medic tells me. “Ok uh Tom take Devon so he doesn’t wake up when the gurney is removed from the ambulance. Scarlett please don’t cry Baby.” I say turning to her after handing Devon to Tom. “I understand why you did it and I know that you love us I don’t know why I said what I did.” She rambles. “Because you’re hurt and I know you didn’t mean it.” I tell her taking her hand as they wheel me around to my hospital room. “Ok Major my name is Nurse Abble I need to change you into a hospital gown. Mrs. Evans can you please help me we are a little short staffed?” She says in a kind voice. “Tom get Devon out and Scarlett I can’t have you help.” I say and Tom goes out into the hallway with Devon knowing just how bad it is. “I’m your wife. I can take it I saw you after your humvee blew up and I saw the live stream Babe I know what happened.” She says. “Promise you won’t run.” I say nervously but I don’t even know why I’m nervous. She's my wife. “I won’t run.” She says squeezing my hand gently. “Ok let's get this over with.” I say knowing it’s going to hurt like a bitch. “Ok we with start with your top. Mrs. Evans please help the Major sit up gently and slowly.” Nurse Abble instructs Scarlett and Scarlett does as she is told once my shirt off Scarlett gasps and tears up again. “Scarlett I understand if you want to step out it’s ok I know this is a lot to process.” I say squeezing the hand that hasn’t left mine since I grabbed it. “No I want to help.” Scarlett says. “Ok now Mrs. Evans you take it from here or I can do it.” Nurse Abble says. “Scarlett if you’re up to it I would be more comfortable if you did it but if it’s too much I understand.” I tell her. “I’ve got it from here Nurse Abble thank you I will call if I need help.” Scarlett says sweetly but also confidently. “Do you want a minute Louri?” Scarlett asks seeing the pain in my face. “Yes please just cover me with the blanket please.” I tell her. “Of course Babe.” She says lifting the hospital blanket over me up to my chest. “You were given the list of my injuries weren’t you?” I ask. “Yes I requested it when I found out that you were found and taken to a M*A*S*H before coming here I hope you don’t mind I just wanted to know what to expect.” Scarlett tells me. “No I don’t mind. I think it’s really sweet actually.” I tell her honestly. “Ok I’m ready to get this over with now.” I tell her. “I’ll be as gentle as I can, ok Babe.” She tells me. “I know you will.” I tell her with a smile well as best I can with all the swelling.

Scarlett’s POV
After I was able to help get Louri in the hospital gown she really needed some sleep so now she is sleeping peacefully and her family is on their way here fro L.A.X. Tom went home after we made up and now I am just sitting in the recliner next to Louri’s bed with Devon asleep on my chest all the excitement wore him out. I didn’t realize that I fell asleep till I wake up to the sound of Mom and Ma talking but I pertend to stll be asleep to listen to them and not to interrupt their conversation. “Melanie look what hey have done to my baby girl. How could someone do this to someone? How did she end up being the only one captured?” Lisa says and I can tell she’s been crying. “She gave herself up to save fity lives.” I say opening my eyes.”She gave herself up?” I hear Mom say. “Yes she’s Louri Evans-Johansson she will protect others no matter the cost. It’s one of the things I love about her and hate at the same time. She doesn’t  know this yet but she is going to be awarded the congrestional medal of honor.” I say. “Scarlett do you know how bad her injuries are?” Shanna asks I didn’t notice her till she spoke. “I do but she doesn’t want anyone else to know so I can’t tell you. What I can tell you is it’s bad but she’s going to make it.” I tell her and she nods. “So is everyone here?” I ask. “Yes even the MARVEL cast.” Mom says. “I’m not surprised. They love her. I know everyone wants to see her but let’s let her sleep a little longer she really needs it.” I say and they nod and leave all but Lisa not surprising it is her daughter laying in that hospital bed.
