The atmosphere was heavy and tense enough to be sliced with a knife. Everyone was on-edge, awaiting the doctor's final words with bated breath.
Milayana's heart sank as she contemplated the potential outcome of Von not pulling through.
"Well I have some good news and bad news" the doctor spoke pausing yet again
Durk sucked his teeth at his dramatics
"Can you just tell us if my brother is alive ?" He spoke
" He is indeed alive. We were able to remove the bullets successfully" he replied
"However he is comatose due to the severe blood loss " he went on
"You gotta break it down fa me doc ion kno what the fuck that means" booka spoke up in confusion
"It means he's in a coma booka" Milayana muttered with tears falling from her eyes
"Fuckkkk" Durk yelled angrily kicking the chair next to him
Milayana was filled with disbelief and felt her head spinning as she struggled to make sense of the current situation.
Sayori approached her best friend and hugged her tightly, shedding tears herself. She knew that there was nothing she could say to console her friend in this difficult moment.
"So what does this mean? Is he gonna wake up?" Muwop questioned with an unreadable expression
"I cannot say for certain, only time will reveal the answer. We will be observing him closely for any unexpected developments as the days progress" empathetically stated the doctor
"Can we see him?" Sayori queried
"Yes he is currently located on the sixth floor in room 6400" he indicated, gesturing towards the elevator.
Without speaking a single word, they walked towards the elevator, and Durk pressed the up arrow multiple times, eagerly waiting for it to open.
"That's not gonna make it come any faster gang" Muwop muttered leaning against the wall
Durk heavily sighed running his hands over his face
The elevator dinged indicating that it had arrived on the first floor. The doors opened as everyone crowed onto the elevator as the doors closed behind them.
Durk then pressed the button for the sixth floor as the elevator began to ascend up.
As the elevators doors opened there was a red sign plastered on the wall with an arrow indicating that rooms 6100-6900 was towards the right.
Everyone followed behind each other through the halls, their footsteps tapping against the white tiles. As they finally made it in front of the room that von was assigned to.
