Methodist Hospital 3:30PM
It's been a solid 60 days since Von fell into a coma and honestly, it felt like an eternity. However, the good news was that he was making progress.
He wasn't on the ventilator anymore and his lungs were doing much better, which meant he was now able to breathe on his own without the help of the machine.
But Milayana's heart was still heavy with disappointment as she watched him lay there motionless. She had started losing hope, but her determination to be there for him was unshaken. She wanted to be the first face he saw when he woke up.
Despite her efforts to reach out to Von's mother through Kayla, there was no response. It was disheartening to see how Von's mother wasn't interested in coming even in this critical situation.
One thing was clear, Milayana believed that a mother's love should be unconditional, no matter what kind of relationship they had.
"Are you okay ?" Sayori looked at Milayana sadly
"I'm just a little worried" Milayana confessed, her voice barely above a whisper
"I mean, he's been in the hospital for a while now. It's just tough seeing him like this" she went on
"I know, but Von is strong I don't believe that God placed him on earth to go out like this" Sayori gave her a reassuring pat on the back.
"You're right. I just need to have a little faith" Milayana smiled weakly
As she stared off into the distance her mind began to wander off to the status of Jayshawn, and now she couldn't help but feel curious. None of the guys were open with her about what exactly went down that night, leaving her to speculate endlessly.
"I've been meaning to ask since no one really said anything" she started as she looked at Sayori
"Is Jay still around? No one mentioned him and I'm just curious to know?" She asked nervously
"He's dead..I thought you knew that ?" Sayori spoke in confusion
Milayana felt a sense of relief knowing that the biggest problem was eliminated.
"Who did it ?" She asked sitting down in the nearby chair
"I'm not even sure I'm supposed to know" Sayori said, lowering her voice to a whisper.
"But from what I overheard Marcus talking, it seems that Von was the one who shot him. And, I guess Jasmine shot him afterwards and ran off." She shrugged her shoulders
