"This is so cute!" Taty said holding up a dress,she placed it against my chest "ugh you'll look so hot in this"
"Really?" I said taking it from her and looking at it myself,
"Yeah,it's cute no?"
"Yeah it is,but I barely go out anymore there's no way I would wear this" I said,she sucked her teeth
"Oh come on,it's not inappropriate or revealing so you can wear it for a kid's party" I laughed
"You're annoying" I said as she smiled,
MIGUEL POV
I watched my mother play with nessa while biting the skin of my nails and my leg bouncing up and down,my mom then looked over to me and noticed. "What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing" i said,she squinted her eyes at me
"Mhm,so why are you acting like you have anxiety?" She asked as she picked up nessa in her arms,
"I'm not-
"Miguel I'm your mother,don't lie to me" she demanded,I sighed
"I'm just worried about y/n" I said,she made a confused look
"Why? Isn't she out with a friend?"
"Yeah but at the mall,she gotten a stalker from a bar so what's the difference?" I said,she laughed
"You're driving yourself nuts,if you're so worried why don't you go to the mall and check on her"
"I'm not gonna stalk her ma" I said,she smiled
"No idiot,like go talk to her and hang with her,I don't think she will mind" she suggested,I laughed
"Ma you don't know y/n like I do,she would mind and I think she would get pissed"
"You're right I don't know her like you do but if you're that worried,go for it" I thought about it,I didn't want to ruin her fun with a friend.She can handle herself..what if a guy like Marcus puts force? Taty isn't strong enough to help..
"Give me my kid" I told my mom
Y/N POV
"Okay what about this?" Taty asked putting a shirt against her chest as I gave her an unsure face
"Ehhh"
"Really? This is the fourth shirt you Eh to"
"I'm being honest here!" I said as she groaned while putting it back,she looked through other racks before she paused
"I'm hungry" she said,
"Oh my god me too,can we go eat?"
"Duh what do you want? There's food upstairs" she said as we walked to back to the entrance,
"I'm just in the mood to dog food honestly" we laughed
"Mood" she said as we left and walked to the escalator,we looked around as we talked to each other.
TIME SKIP
"Oh my god" I said as I ate,Taty and I were just moaning at the fact how good it was.
"Oh I know" she said, "so how's nessa and your baby daddy?"
"They're good,she's at his mom's house right now so I bet she's having fun and getting well fed" i explained,her eyebrows furrowed as she looked away from me
"Are you sure? Cause it seems like she's with her dad at the mall right now" she said,I turned where she was looking at to see miguel with nessa in his arms looking around.
"What the fuck?" I breathed out, "miguel!" I called out quickly getting his attention.He smiled at us before pointing us to nessa,
He walked over to us with nessa, "hey guys" he greeted us as I continued to look at him confused
"Wha-what are you doing here?" I asked as Taty gasped
"Give me the child" she said reaching her arms out,miguel handed her to Taty. "Hi beautiful" she said in a high pitch tone
"Miguel" I said to him,
"Nessa wanted her mom so" he said with a side smile,I squinted my eyes at him.Nessa doesn't complain or cry for me unless she's with a total stranger without miguel and i there.
"You know that's a lie" I said,he scoffed
"Sorry I'm just..worried that something might happen to you ever since the incident with Marcus" he said in a soft tone
"Awww" Taty said
"Thanks mikey,but I'm clearly okay" I said with a reassuring smile,he calmed down a bit.I'm guessing he had ptsd on how many times I used to get angry with him, "you want to eat?" I said pointing at my food
"Oh yeah sure" he said walking over to the sit next to mine ,he sat down as we made eye contact. "Thanks"
"Of course" I said moving the food between us,I looked at nessa "hi baby" I greeted her as she smiled ear to ear at me.
Miguel took a bite before looking at me with his pretty eyes, "sorry if I ruined the fun-
"Oh no,it's okay" I said as he smiled
"You're willing to come out with us whenever you want" Taty said as I gave her a look with widen eyes,miguel chuckled
"Thanks" Miguel said before taking another bite,
"We were planning on going to Victoria secret after this,you can pick out y/n's new underwear" Taty spoke,I choked on my water as miguel cleared his throat
"Uh yeah,I-I don't mind if..she lets me?" He said before looking at me as I scratched the back of my hair nervously.
"Oh she doesn't mind at all,do you?" Taty asked,I kicked her foot under the table "ow"
I face palmed,of course taty is happy that Miguel is here and honestly I don't mind that he is especially since he brought Vanessa.
Miguel placed his hand on my thigh causing chills to go down my spine,I looked at him as Taty eyes widen as she watched us.
"Can I?" He asked,I smiled "like old times?"
"Yeah..why not?" I said,he kept his hand there.I haven't felt his warm touch in a while and I missed it,getting these feelings back definitely mean something.
