Y/N POV

I chuckled at nessa who was making funny faces in the mirror as I did her hair,I glanced at miguel who put his hat on before looking for his shoes.

"Okay you're done hermosa" I said as nessa kept distracting herself "babe look at nessa" miguel turned his head

"Don't you look pretty? Mommy always does a great job on your hair" he walked over to us and picked her up, "are you finish?" He asked me

"Yeah just need to get my shoes" I said as I was sat on my knees on our bed,he winked at me as he smiled

TIME SKIP

"Is this it?" I asked pointing at a small building that's supposed to be the restaurant,

"Yeah" miguel said as he parked into one of the lots "I'll get the kid" he quickly unbuckled his seatbelt while opening the door,

I did the same and grabbed my purse that was between my legs,I placed it over my shoulder as I got out and shut the door behind me.

I watched miguel take nessa out her car seat as he carefully made sure that she didn't hit her head as he carried her,I closed the door after him before grabbing his keys and locking the car

We both walked in the restaurant before we searched for Wendy and my family,i then saw my dad waving his arms in the air.I smiled before nudging him and pointing the direction,

We walked over to the table as there was two empty chairs that were across from each other at the end of the table and a high chair at that very end.

We greeted the family with handshakes and kisses on the cheek,miguel placed nessa in the high chair before we sat down.

I picked up the menu and started looking at what they got since it was my first time coming here,miguel as his elbows on the table slowly rubbing his hands together as he looked at my mom and Wendy

"Babe you already know what you want?" I asked,he quickly looked at me

"Uh yeah,the steak they got-it's really good,do you want it as well?" I shrugged before nodding

"Sounds good" I said causing miguel to take my menu and place it with his,I smiled at him before looking at nessa as she kept looking at the paintings that were around her.

"You okay mi niña" I asked her,she moved her head to me as she widen her eyes but slightly went back to its natural state while smiling

I giggled as she then looked at her family members who were staring at her "but don't stare at my kid like that, you'll scare her" miguel told them

TIME SKIP

The table was talking as well as eating like usual,the steak was really good.I made the waiter bring nessa chicken tenders with some fries,I made her try steak and she loved it

"Are we gonna order dessert?" Alexandra spoke,I looked at everyone for their answer but I actually wanted to.

"You want ice cream baby?" I asked nessa,

"Yes please" she mumbled,miguel smiled being proud that we're teaching her manners.The waiter came around and we told him what we wanted,

Miguel gave him a look while he nodded,the waiter nodded with a smile before miguel also told him that nessa wanted vanilla ice cream.

He walked away after telling us that he'll be back with our stuff,I watched my mom and Wendy laugh and gossip as my dad and Miguel's were crying out of laughter.

"How you're doing?" I asked Alex since she was next to me,she turned her head

"I'm doing okay,i stopped talking to my friends.." she said,I rubbed her arm as I gave her a reassuring smile.
"I'm sorry"

"Don't worry about it" I whispered as she placed her head on my shoulder,the waiter came back with nessa's ice cream and other stuff for the family except Miguel's

"Excuse me? Where's my man's order?" I asked as miguel immediately smirked,

"Baby relax,take your time" he says as he looked at the waiter,he nodded before giving me a weak smile "hey,don't worry about it"

"Fine" I said,

"I love her" Wendy said as she placed her hand on his shoulder,the rest of laughed.

Later,my mom looked over and nudged wendy before they started pulling their phone out.Miguel seemed nervous as he stared at me

"You okay babe?" I said,he nodded as the waiter came with a strawberry cake that had candles and the one stick that shoots the light.

My eyebrows furrows as they made their towards me,they placed the plate down as they had frosting on the plate saying some words...I gasped as I read

'Will you marry me?'

I then looked up with the tears forming,miguel had a grin as he stood up from the chair and walked over to me.

I covered my face as I began to cry,I felt one of my hands moving from my face as I heard a song getting played in Spanish over the restaurant.

I looked seeing miguel hold the hand that had the promise ring on it,he then got on one knee.I used my other hand to put it over my heart

I sniffled before looking at nessa who was looking at miguel confused on why he was on the floor,I glanced at our family as I saw my mom and Wendy tearing up.The dad's smiling and Alex jaw dropped,

"Mírame" miguel spoke,I looked down at him "I promised you and I'm keeping my promise,you and nessa mean everything to me.I've been dreaming about this moment my whole life,I love you so much and I don't know what I'll do with you..you're my heart and my..sorry" he said as he looked down taking a deep breathe

He then met my eyes again as his eyes became glossy making my heart flutter even more, "you're my life and I need you to be there with me..will you marry me?" He asked

I repeatedly nodded as our family and some other families that were watching cheered for us while miguel took the promise off and took a red box out of his pocket,he opened it up showing a bigger ring

He slid it on my finger before kissing my hand and rushing over to hug me,I didn't feel like I can breathe.I felt like I needed to cry more as my chest was having this sharp pain

"I love you" he whispered before pulling away and kissing my lips..
