"He promised?" Taty asked shocked as I gave someone their drink,I nodded giving her a light smile "that's so cute"
"I know,I felt 15 all over again" I told her as she passed two shots to a duo that were sitting by "we're planning to take Vanessa out to the park tomorrow if you and Mason wanna come"
"Oh..I would love to but I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow" she said scrunching her face,I nodded
"It's okay,don't worry but I'm surprised you have an appointment,is there anything wrong?" I asked,she shrugged
"It's just a daily check up,nothing big" she said wiping her hands with a towel,i sighed before someone came up to the bar
"Beer" he said with a light smile,I nodded before grabbing a cup and started pouring.He looked at my finger seeing the ring before getting disappointed,I smirked to myself love seeing the reactions
"Here you go" I told him,he gave me a nod before sliding over the money then taking the beer and walking away "did you see that?"
"He wanted to cry seeing that ring" she joked as we laughed,working with Taty again feels so peaceful but also realizing that your boss is also your boyfriend makes it better. Holy shit..am I really Fiona?
"Hey baby,wanna take a break? I can handle it from here" miguel asked as I felt him hover me,I smirked
"Sure,thanks babe" I said as I moved back so he can take my spot,Taty turned and noticed
"Wait when is my break?" She asked,miguel chuckled
"Definitely not now" he said before grabbing a towel,Taty sucked her teeth before looking at me as I blew her kiss.
I walked to the back so I can sit down for a little,I've been standing since we opened and obviously miguel knew that.
I pulled my phone out to call Wendy since she was taking care of nessa,I clicked on her number before placing the phone against my ear
"Hello?" I heard on the other line
"Hey ma" I replied
"Oh hi mija! How's work going?" I smiled
"It's going good,miguel just let me on break so I decided to call you so I can check up on vanessa" I said,she chuckled
"Well she ate a full meal,obviously she sat for a while to finish but she did good y Ahora she's playing with some toys that I got for her here" she explained
"Aw thanks ma,it really means a lot for you to watch her and remember if you're ever busy I can let my mom watch her"
"Pues of course,I also wanted to ask you something porque veo que nessa tiene a cut on her knee so I wanted to see if she fell recently" she says as my heart pumped
Shit..the day of the incident,we didn't tell our families what happened cause our families would want to drag it and we didn't want any trouble.
Plus miguel handled it,I shut my eyes tightly while placing my hand on my forehead.I didn't want to lie to her but I also didn't want miguel to get mad at me for telling her,
"y/n? Everything okay?" Wendy spoke,i didn't want to lose her respect cause I lied to her.She's her grandma for Christ sake
"Do you remember Marcus?" I spoke as I sighed,
"Your stalker,I've been told,yes"
"We went to a get together of Tristan's and..he was there,there were multiple kids outside and Miguel and I wanted her to make friends and have fun-She screamed and we ran out there then she told us that Marcus pushed her" I told her
I heard her inhaled sharply before it went silent,my eyebrows furrowed as I quietly prayed that she wouldn't say anything to miguel or she wouldn't want to make a big thing
"Just please tell me..that my son broke his face" she spoke,I slightly smiled before laughing
"Yeah he busted him" I said,she giggled
"Good and don't worry I won't say anything,I'm just glad you told me-do you want to speak to her?" She asked as I heard a smile in her voice
"Oh yes please" I said getting excited as I heard some movements on the other line,
"Mommy?" Nessa said with her soft kiddie voice,I smiled
"Hi baby,how's it going?" I asked her
"Who the hell you calling baby besides me?" Miguel said walking in,I rolled my eyes
"Mommy I ate big food! All of it!" She said,I dramatically gasped
"You did? Oh my god-tell daddy" I said before quickly handing the phone to Miguel,his eyebrows furrowed as he immediately placed it against his ear
Miguel lips formed into a grin "you ate what? Without me? Oh you fake" he joked before laughing "that's good princess I'm so proud of you"
My throat tighten,I always loved hearing miguel speak to her like that telling how he's proud of her and how she does a good job on doing big things.
"Oh you wanna talk to mommy? Why you don't want to talk to me anymore I'm boring?" He said with a smile,
"Very much so" I muttered getting miguel attention,he pulled my hair "ow" I said as he pointed at me.I giggled before he handed me the phone
"Hi baby,I'm so proud of you,you know eating is good for you and it makes you stronger" I told her before miguel stepped closer and wrapped his warm arms around my waist from behind as I felt his head on my shoulder
My stomach filled with butterflies as I exhaled,I tried to stay focus on talking to my daughter "are you going to pick me up mama?" She asked
"Yes mi niña,right after work okay? Be good for grandma wendy okay? I love you" I said
"I love you too mommy" she responded making my heart melt
"Give me kisses" I said,I heard her make kisses noises like I taught her.I grinned "okay bye"
"Bye mommy!" I heard before hanging up,
"Ugh she's growing up too fast" I said,he hummed before giving me neck kisses.I sighed knowing what he wanted "okay fine,let's make it quick"
"Yay" he said in a low tone
