Y/N POV

"Taty table seven is yours" I said to her before stocking the coffeemaker,she nodded as she started rushing over.

I wiped my hands over my apron as I walked to one of the tables I was waitressing, "hey,you guys need anything?" I asked them

"Oh no we're good thanks" they said,I nodded before walking away and grabbing leftover plates from a table near by.I walked into the kitchen and placed them in the sink,

"Y/n!" I heard Taty coming near the kitchen window,I looked up raising my eyebrows "baby daddy alert" she said nodding her head to the entrance door.

I looked over seeing Miguel walk in before placing his hands in his jean pockets and looking around,I guess he was very serious on visiting after hearing guys flirt with me at work.

I walk out and walked towards him, "hey beautiful" he said as his eyes lit up seeing me.

"I didn't think you were serious" I said with a smirk,he smirked as he looked around the customers

"Well i was,you look so cute in your uniform" he lowered his tone while walking up to me,I looked away from him before chuckling

"You have to order something to be here,can't just sit here and watch me like a weirdo" I told him,he smiled

"That's not a problem,get me whatever you want as long as you're the one that gives it to me" he said before sitting down a near by table,i sighed

"Okay fine" I said rolling my eyes walking to the kitchen and tell the cookers what to make for miguel,they nodded before getting back to work.

I walked out and went behind the counter to make coffee for one of the customers that ordered it earlier,Taty walked out the kitchen with plates in her hand.

I quickly rushed over to the table and handed the guy his coffee, "here you go,sorry for the wait,we just have a lot of customers coming through-

"Oh don't worry about it sweetheart,I understand how waiting tables isn't easy" he said,he looked around my age but he wasn't attractive.I was praying to god that he wouldn't be trouble,

"Thanks" I said with a light smile before walking back behind the counter and grabbing the plate that the cooker put through the kitchen window.

I walked back over to miguel who had his head down,his hat covering his face besides his lips and nose.I placed the plate down getting his attention

He looked up at me and smirked, "you don't want some?" He asked

I laughed "No I gotta work"

"Well when's your break?"

"In an hour or so,why you aren't at work?" I asked him while putting my hands on my hips,

"One of my coworkers is taking over for me,I wanted to see my beautiful girl work..how about I pay for another plate so you can eat like real food not chips or anything" he said,I started smiling hard since this was the miguel I always loved

"Or I can take you somewhere else" he added,i inhaled

"Are you sure you want to be with me?" I asked,his eyebrows furrowed "or is it something else?"

"Of course I wanna be with you,y/n I want to die with you..are you having second thoughts?" He asked as his gaze soften

"No no,I really want to work this out..I'm just asking cause I don't want to waste my time-

"You're not,I hope I'm not wasting my time either cause y/n I'm gonna put my all into this okay? You want to take it slow,we're taking it slow.You don't want to have sex yet? I'm surprised I didn't cry but I'm doing it to prove to you I want us again"

I chuckled before smiling,we stared at each other for a few more seconds of silence, "your food is gonna get cold" I told him

"Yeah I know,let me know when you're on break" he said before adjusting himself in his seat as I walked away to one of my other tables

TIME SKIP

I walked over to miguel after leaving the kitchen,he finished his food and was just drinking his water. "Hey I'm on break" I told him

"Okay,do you want to go somewhere or stay here?"he asked

"Stay here,I already order my food" I said before sitting down across from him,he chuckled

"Good,it's on me"

"No it's fine-

"Don't start" he demanded,I smirked as I crossed my legs. "I wanna take you out on a date this weekend" he blurted out

"What?"

"Yeah,a date like going out looking nice to a nice restaurant-

"I know what a date is moron,but why?" I asked,we barely went out on dates when we were together.during the weekends was just sleepovers and we all know what Miguel and I did at sleepovers,round after round after round after round..

"Cause I want to do this right,you deserve the best and I'm gonna be the best for you so I'm doing things that we didn't really do" he smiled "what do you think?"

"I think that this miguel can be also different in bed" I said leaning forward.he raised his eyebrows before grinning

"Oh really?" He asked before I nodded, "you can be the judge of that"

"I will,I hope I'm not losing that miguel-

"I hope you didn't change either" he said widening his eyes,i scoffed

"You can be the judge of that" I repeated

"I definitely will" he said as Taty came over with my plate and winked at me,

"Hey Miguel,how's it going" she asked,miguel chuckled

"Hey Taty,Mason said y'all going out this weekend"

"Yeah we are,do you know his plan?" She asked,he shook his head

"No I don't but even if i did I wouldn't tell you" she rolled her eyes before tapping my shoulder and walking away,I laughed

"Eat all of it" he spoke,my eyebrows furrowed "yeah I'm talking to you,my girl,eat" I smiled at my food as I felt my chest tighten

"I mean..unless you wanna eat something else" he said as I almost choked on my food while he laughed
