A bottle for information

Diluc checked the corner to see if anyone was there. There wasn't, coast is clear. Diluc quickly ran his way towards Angel's Share. After turning back into a man, Diluc escaped through the window behind Lisa's desk in the library and hastily made his way to Angel's Share, where he knew there was a change of man clothing, he could wear.

Diluc used the staff door to Angel's Share which led to a small room where staff takes their break. Diluc popped on of the lockers opened and found some Angel's Share work clothes. Stuff the dress he was previously wearing into the locker, Diluc with a calmer attitude, walked out of Angel's Share and back to Dawn Winery.

Diluc couldn't go back to the party, not after telling everyone that he is allegedly in Fontaine right now. Diluc made his way to Dawn Winery, where Adelinde was out front taking in the evening glow. Adelinde saw Diluc in his male form again and seemed to not be surprised now. Adelinde probably got used to it. She bowed and welcome Diluc back. Diluc nodded and went straight to his room.

Diluc closed the door behind him and sigh, "Venti if you're there, come out right now."

"Someone called?" Venti peaked his head out from Diluc's bedroom window, as if waiting for Diluc to call for him.

Unsurprised, Diluc went straight to business, "Do you, or do you not know who is the culprit?"

"Well Diluc, I may or may not know who the culprit is. But information costs you know," Venti responded with a sparkle in his eye.

Diluc called for Adelinde to bring a bottle of wine. Adelinde didn't seem fazed about the fact that a bard somehow got inside the house. She simply just obeyed Diluc's ordered and fetched a bottle of wine.

Venti looked at the bottle with drool coming down his face, "Now a free drink is the best kind of drink, don't you agree Diluc?"

"I have no time for idle chit chat, I gave you your payment, now answer my question."

Venti chugged down the bottle before answering, "I can assure you this much. The culprit is from Inazuma. I can also assure you their reason is not malicious at all."

"So, you don't know who exactly it is?" Diluc pressed his fingers against his forehead, he was starting to get a headache.

"If I knew I would tell you."

"When you mean they don't have malicious intent, does that mean they are not planning to harm Mondstadt city?"

"From my intel, they would never think about harming Mondstadt City or it's citizens."

Diluc was relieved. So it wasn't a threat to the city, but the question still remains, what was their real reason for messing with Diluc?

Venti, having done his job, started working on finishing the bottle of wine. Diluc ordered Adelinde to kick Venti out. Adelinde had a bit of trouble making sure the drunk Archon made it safely out of his mansion.

Diluc tried to think, he had to find out which one was causing him to switch. But as a male form, Diluc couldn't go near them. He can only gather information as lady Diana because Diluc is technically in Fontaine.

Diluc would have to go undercover. He would have to sneak in at night and investigate. No no that won't work. If I get caught, this could start a conflict between Mondstadt and Inazuma.

Maybe he could hire some spies to keep watch on certain suspicious characters, but if they were caught that could also potentially start conflict with Inazuma. The only viable and safe option Diluc could think of is the culprit turning him back to lady Diana so he could get close to the Inazuman's.

Diluc decided not to worry about it anymore tonight, and instead go back to doing all the paperwork he missed due to attending the party.
