Liam's pov

Today is my birthday. It is 3:45am. I can't sleep. I have been having really bad pains in my back, side and area especially when I go to the toilet. I know I should probably tell Niall but I don't want to. Last time Niall found out about it he dragged me to the hospital and Luna was mad at me because it was her birthday. I don't want Luna to be mad at me. I suddenly get an urge to go to the toilet. I slowly get out of bed my back screaming in protest. I slowly walk into the bathroom. Once I am at the toilet I lower the front of my joggers and boxers and aim for the toilet. I whimper as I start to wee. There isn't much and I still really need to go. The urine that came out is mixed with blood. I instantly know my kidney is acting up again. No one is here to take care of the kids though since my parents aren't arriving until the morning so Niall can't take me to the hospital. I pull up my boxers and trousers and flush the toilet and wash my hands.

I slowly walk to Oscar's room and carefully open the door. I look in his cot and see he is still sound asleep on his tummy cuddling his stuffed monkey. I know I put him to bed on his back. He must have rolled over in his sleep. I smile and quietly leave the room. I go into Luna's room and see that she is asleep cuddling her stuffed puppy. I smile and quietly leave her room. I go back to mine and Niall's room and see Niall sat up in bed. He asks "Where were you Liam?" I say "Going to the toilet and checking on the kids" Niall nods and pats the bed and says "Come back to bed Li" I nod and get into bed next to Niall. I cuddle into him and he frowns and says "Li, are you feeling alright? You feel really rather warm" I nod and say "Yeah I'm fine. It's quite warm tonight" Niall nods and says "If you still feel warm later on I'm checking your temperature. No protesting" I sigh and say "Fine" Niall says "Get some sleep babe" I nod and cuddle further into him. Niall falls back to sleep.

About an hour later I am really regretting not telling Niall how I am feeling. In the hour I have been to the toilet every ten minutes. Each time only releasing small amounts of urine witch had blood in each time. I feel really unwell. I involuntarily let out a sob. Niall is instantly up and asks "Babe are you alright? Why are you crying?" I start crying more and say "My back really hurts. I really don't feel well Nini and I have peed blood" Niall kisses my forehead and says "You feel warm babe. Let me go and get the thermometer" I start crying more and say "Don't leave me Nini"

Niall's pov

My heart breaks when he says "Don't leave me Nini" I say "I'll be really quick I promise" Liam starts sobbing. I quickly run out of the room and grab the thermometer. I quickly go back to Liam and see him on the bed still crying hard with vomit over himself and the bed. I sit on the bed next to him and pull him to my chest. I say "Hey, hey shhh don't cry babe." Liam slowly starts to calm down. Once he is calm I put the thermometer in Liam's ear and press the button. I wait for the thermometer to beep. Once it beeps I take the thermometer out of Liam's ear and say "39.9. That's dangerously hight Li. Let's get you in the bath to cool you down" He says "Ni I feel faint. Imma pass out" his eyes roll backwards and he slumps against me.

I carefully put him in the recovery position after checking that he is breathing. I call 999. They pick up and says "999 do you need fire, police or ambulance?" I say "Ambulance please." The call centre person says "Alright what's your emergency?" I say "My husband has just been sick and passed out. I checked his temperature and it was 39.9." The call centre person says "Alright. Does he have any other symptoms and is he breathing?" I respond "He said that his back hurts and he peed blood earlier and just feeling generally unwell yeah he is breathing. I have put him in the recovery position" the person asks "What's your husbands name, age and date of birth." I respond "His name is Liam Horan, his birthday is 29th august 1994 he is 29" the person says "Alright there will be an ambulance with you in five minutes make sure the front door is unlocked so they can get in" I nod and say "Thank you" the call ends and I go and unlock the front door.
